NTE is a supernatural open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio. The story begins in the city of Hethereau, where you play as its first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. You'll join the crew at Eibon, a rundown antique shop that keeps the lights on by taking Anomaly commissions from anyone willing to pay. Alongside a diverse cast of extraordinary companions, you'll unravel urban mysteries, ride out adventures full of laughs and heartbreak, and write your own stories in the neon-lit streets.

Everywhere you look, there's no shortage of intriguingly "abnormal" scenes.

I’ve enjoyed pretty much everything about it so far. Performance is good, graphics are amazing, the setting is phenomenal, and there is a good bit to do at launch. Racing, fishing, exploring, missions, bonds/dates with characters, and probably more that will be included too. I actually found a half court basketball court on top of one of the high-rise buildings in the city that was really cool. It would be great if you could shoot a basketball around up there or something with friends but its just visual at the moment. I would also really like to have a player house at the top rural town of the map but currently limited to city apartments. Not the biggest fan of how many characters are part animal but it doesn’t take away from the experience of the characters or personalities as far as I can tell. I personally play the game with the Chinese audio, not the English audio, but vocals and sound are really good from what I can tell. Excited to see more characters, hobbies, houses, and story as this game grows.
Amazing game! Some issues present…

So far, NTE is visually stunning, full of immersive storylines, and jam-packed with thrilling action. However, there are a few bugs that remain big issues. For one, the game will randomly decide to kick you out and make you fully reload and reenter the game. This can cause loss of progress if you are fighting a boss or clicking through a storyline. On another note, the map can be very confusing as there are no ways to tell depth since it is a purely black and grayscale map. Third, there are very few sources of Fons and it is difficult to get a lot early in the game. You have to unlock certain gameplay nodes to be able to fully earn a decent amount of fons. And finally, the male characters receive less opportunities for interactions. For example, some of the female characters can be invited to live in your properties once you unlock them, but none of the male characters can. I understand it is based on which characters have pajama/casual skins, but that is just another part of this particular issue. None of the male characters currently have skins. I understand it’s early in the game, but multiple of the female characters have a multitude of skins, which just shows the favor towards the female characters and potential “goonerbait”, as people call it. Hopefully these issues will be fixed in the near future so everyone can enjoy the game to the fullest!
Fun, but one massive issue
Can_I_Get_A_Visual
I played this game for the past three days and for the most part, I think it’s very fun and enjoyable. There’s a bit of device lag but, as it just came out, I’m willing to overlook it for now. I also think some of the game aspects are very interesting, especially the gacha system and ascension being more self-customization. The character designs are alright, but seem to be more style over substance. The world feels very big and lived in and I absolutely love driving around (poorly because I can’t drive) the city scapes and exploring. However, while my issues are relatively minor, there is one major issue that cannot simply be ignored. This game uses generative AI. It is extremely blatant, right down to the most minute of details, and it’s such a genuine shame since there are clearly talented artists working on this game. The AI utilization is unignorable and completely drains all the enjoyment and enthusiasm I and many others had for this game. Furthermore, the developers lying regarding its usage is incredibly scummy. If they are willing to lie about something this obvious, what else are they willing to lie to us about.Until the seeable future, I cannot in good faith continue to play a game that refuses to respect the artists that work for it by undervaluing them with their utilization of AI. The game may be fun in a bubble, but a game that cannot respect its artists can never truly support its players. Period.
Exceptional
Perception Games
Honestly this surpasses my expectations. It truly is amazing. I will write some things to be requested. I feel the co-op things can be a little bit more to offer. Like how FFXIV is, I feel like this would surpass it. Second, maybe skateboards, or hoverboards would be really cool. As would boat houses, and maybe different treasure islands we can explore. I love the chaos zones as well, I feel that can be played with a lot, like a chaos labyrinth, with high rewards. I would love something like streets of rage at the arcade, where it’s your character that can do knock off 4p beat em ups or shoot ‘em ups. I like the idea of games inside games. And the ultime chill fest. A mall would be really cool. To see the in game clothes what they look like. Also, offering a way for your character to work as clerks for in game would be nice. To run a cafe, police force. Etc. crossover events would be very nice too, like honkai, punishing grey raven, or even final fantasy dissidia, but yes. More dungeons, pvp, as many characters as possible 👌🏾🔥🔥🔥
