Ready for iOS 27 This update brings Flybrite up to date for iOS 27, with improvements to how the app starts, resumes and responds to taps. Also in this release: • Local authority reports now show the reporting period as "1 Jan to 31 Mar", and read more cleanly throughout • The Flybrite logo looks right everywhere, including the report reader • Behind the scenes, if the app ever stops responding we now get a quiet report so we can fix it fast. It never includes your child's details, diary or photos Plus small wording fixes.

Add a new resource from a diary entry Used a book, a website or a kit? Add it straight from the moment you're logging, without leaving the entry. Also in this release: • The Weekly Review now counts lessons your child finished in their own app, and shows the real time they spent • Lessons done in your child's app show their time on a line of its own • Share a report as a PDF straight from the report reader • A new optional setting, Ad measurement (Me, You). After you sign up we ask once whether we may tell Meta when someone installs Flybrite and starts a trial, so we only pay for adverts that work. It is off unless you say yes, and we never share your child's details, diary or photos. Plus small wording fixes.

Sign in with Apple or Google Create your account or sign in with one tap. No new password to remember. See the time spent learning The Lessons tab now shows how long each lesson took, and every child has a "Time learning this week" total, so the effort is on the record as well as the work. Also in this release: • Invite a tutor with their own access level, so they can log their own sessions without full access to your family's record • One partner invite now covers every child in the family • Lessons in a second language are spoken in that language's own voice • Reading: note which words your child can read • "Log a moment" is always one tap away on Home • Shared event links open straight onto that event in the app • Ideas & requests: suggest what we build next and vote for other families' ideas (Me, Ideas & requests) • Now and then we ask one quick question about how Flybrite is working for you • Offers and news: an optional notification, off unless you switch it on in Settings, Notifications • Lessons for younger children are longer, show clearly when an answer is right, and wait for a try before moving on • Signing up no longer asks for your address; we only ask for a postcode when a feature needs it • Delete your account from inside the app, including accounts made with Apple or Google Privacy: your children's real names are no longer sent to our AI provider when we write reports or diary summaries. Anonymous usage analytics help us improve the app, and you can switch them off in Me, You, Usage analytics. They are never collected in a child's session. Fixes: adding a child with "Prefer not to say" now works, deleting a child no longer fails, moments are no longer filed as "Other" by mistake, and pending partner invites can now be cancelled.

New in Flybrite 3.5 • Sign in with Apple or Google. Create your account or sign in with one tap, no password needed. • A calmer Home screen. You'll see one tip or reminder at a time instead of several stacked up. • Faster sign in. If you've used Flybrite before, you go straight to sign in instead of the welcome screen. • See what Flybrite noticed. After your first moment, we show you what we picked up from it. • Log a moment from Home any time with the always-there button. • Simpler sign up. No address needed to get started. • Adding a child is smoother, and skipping a step no longer leaves you stuck. • Partners and co-parents: accepting an invite now covers every child in the family. • A clear view of your trial, with a preview of your learning report. • New privacy control: turn usage analytics off any time in Me. Plus bug fixes and performance improvements.

Today's Quick Idea When there is nothing in the diary yet, Flybrite now offers one gentle suggestion for the day, and shows the learning already inside it. Cooking together is maths, English, science and life skills. Tap once to add it to your record, or ask for another idea. It is a prompt, not a task. Everyday moments count. Also in this release: • A guided first run that walks you through logging your very first moment • Lessons for 4 to 6 year olds now use drawn pictures instead of emoji, and step up in difficulty properly as your child gets things right • A new Clubs and Groups category, so Scouts, Cubs, Brownies and youth groups show up as what they are • The bookshelf lets you record reading a book again, and tidy up duplicate entries • Set a repeating timetable so regular provision counts once per subject, without logging it every week • Community events now ask whether you actually went, and count towards your child's record when you did • A mistyped email address at signup gets spotted before it becomes a problem Fixes: the child login code now appears after switching profiles, saving a timetable no longer fails, a shared event opens the event itself instead of the download page, and "make it harder" no longer hangs on a lesson.

• Entries added by someone you share with stay visible. Sharing is with one other adult, and you can swap who that is at any time. • Clearer, more accurate wording about what the law actually asks of you, and what is simply your choice. • Photos are always optional, and stay out of a report unless you turn them on. • Chat opens on the newest message. • Resources you attach to a moment now show on that moment. • Fewer interruptions just after you sign up.

Shake to report a problem If something goes wrong, give your phone a shake and we will ask what happened. No hunting through menus, no support email, no trying to remember which screen you were on. Flybrite fills in the fiddly part for you: the screen you were on, your device, the version you are running and your connection. You just add a sentence about what went wrong. A screenshot of the screen comes attached by default, so we can see what you saw. You see it first, you can tap it to look properly, and you can switch it off before you send. It is your family's record, so it is your call. You can also report from Me, Settings, Report a problem, and turn the shake off entirely there if you would rather not have it. Every report comes straight to Jayne and me. We read them all.

Important Bug Fixes

Printables, included with your membership All 870 of our printable pages, across 87 packs, are now included with a Flybrite membership. Find them under Me, then Printables. Colouring, phonics and tracing for the little ones, right through to algebra, Shakespeare, the periodic table and Python for age 11 plus. Download a pack and print at home. No basket, no checkout. Keep your own resources in one place Save the links and books you actually use, so you are not hunting for that worksheet again next term. Attach a resource to a lesson Open any lesson in your diary and attach a printable or a link to it. Anything you attach is gathered into your Local Authority report automatically, so the material you used counts as evidence without you writing it out twice. A tidier Me tab Reading now sits under Library, where you would expect to find it.

What’s new: Badges now explain what they mean and how to unlock them. Practice sessions no longer fail during longer generation. Learning Garden progress is now accurate. Child gender can be edited for correct AI pronouns. Children can retry incorrect quiz answers. Improved Android photo selection and push notifications. More relevant lesson questions and reliable quiz scoring.

LA Report improvement's Minor Bug Fixes

What's New in 3.0.1 The weekly check-in got a proper polish — questions are now short, clear observations about what your child actually did this week, and the answer options finally match the question. Skipping a question you weren't there for no longer counts towards their progress. Also in this update: • Holidays & time away — mark days or weeks as away and your weekly plans work around them. Holidays can now be edited and removed from the diary too. • Day plans ask "which day?" — planning a single day now lets you pick the date instead of assuming. • Smarter multi-lesson days — planning several lessons in one day now gives each one its own subject and content. • Lessons that grow with your child — older children get meatier, more challenging lesson content, and we spot when a lesson's finished suspiciously fast. • Notifications tidy-up — clearer inbox with unread filters, and opening a chat properly clears its badge everywhere. • Lots of little fixes — photo attachments in chat, group event RSVPs, iPad layouts, smoother chat scrolling, and more reliable push notifications.

A big round of polish, guided by feedback from our founding families — thank you! Repeating activities, properly. Editing or deleting something that repeats now asks whether you mean just that one, this and following, or the whole series. Moments for more than one child are now handled as what they are — the same memory for each child — so removing one child's copy never touches the other's. Faster, more reliable photo gallery. Moments photos load quicker and no longer get stuck as grey tiles. Your words always show. The AI story behind each moment now saves reliably, and your own notes and the evidence line for your LA report are always visible. Quicker logging. New 5 and 10-minute duration options, and the custom duration box no longer hides behind the keyboard. A clearer notifications inbox with All and Unread tabs. Swipe through every photo on a moment, right from the gallery. Plus lots of smaller fixes — full lesson names everywhere, repeating lessons that actually repeat, and children's names always written the way you gave them.

What's New Lessons you plan for the week now show up in your child's app — every one, not just the first. Council reports export the full report as a tidy PDF, in a warmer, more personal voice — and "Share" now attaches the actual PDF. New: a GCSE study track for older children. Handwriting practice gets a finer pen and clearer letters, plus a fix so matching games accept the right answer. Smaller fixes and polish throughout.
