I’ve been seeing these beautiful animations on my Facebook and TikTok’s for a while now. Love the idea for the stories but wish the price was a bit more reasonable for me at the time for the content available. I know the content will be AMAZING but it’s cheaper to to have most streaming services at this time and have many options to choose from. (Personally I feel like since the app is in the earlier stages if the price was lower more people may sign up and the artists might see more revenue earlier)
Was cool, then wasn’t.

I came here for Granite Waves. Seemed cool, thought I might like the series. 96$ for a year and 36$ for 3 months is ludicrous. Reading other reviews, the dev seems to either be tone deaf about “waiting to subscribe” or is using AI to respond with a specific set response, which is the exact opposite of what they’re claiming to be for and against their values. Genuinely heartbroken to see something interesting be paywalled in such an egregiously greedy manner. No 1 month or AD based options, which I would’ve been okay with. There’s also not a lot of content, but they’re relatively new, and keep promising more content in that same response, but it doesn’t matter if the price point is $96/yr or $36/3mo. Could’ve been such a good platform. Devs definitely killed it on the spot from gaining more than already dedicated fans.
Misleading time frame of episode + shows

Lots of potential, poorly executed. Sold people on “consistent weekly episode’s but they’ve released 6 in the past 8+ weeks for the only show that’s currently being released. They don’t have three shows they have one. 2 min a week at best. There’s no communication, no Reddit, no discord, no real fan communication updates. They say every day in the app they are “building a way” but it’s been delayed after delay since the beginning. They should not have released the app and promos and taken money so early if essentially two shows had yet to even cast voice actors (I’m not even sure if they have yet). They are charging as much as the next streaming service for literally 14 minutes of content. MOST OF WHICH is on their public social media platforms anyways. Hold off until this becomes an actual business venture
Too expensive

There are only three shows, and they haven’t even finished them. I believe you could watch everything they provide in less than 30 mins. For that reason, it’s not worth the price of the subscription. HOWEVER the story and graphics are amazing, and I’m very hopeful for this unique concept. I personally will not be paying for the subscription at the moment, but will keep the app in case their library expands in the future. 🫡 until then Ryuu
