What's new in this update • Transcripts open right away: a draft shows first, and the tidied version takes its place as soon as it's ready. • Chapters from show notes: timestamps written in the episode notes become chapters you can tap. • Long episode notes start collapsed, with Show more at the end. • Library: episode lists that stopped updating now repair themselves, and wrong release dates are corrected on refresh. • Playback: starts that used to get stuck now recover on their own, and one tap starts playback exactly once. • Streamed episodes get their ad-skip marker for the opening ad from 0:00. • Podcast creators can opt out of transcripts and AI features, plus stability fixes throughout. • A faster, sturdier library: your podcasts, history and settings move to a new storage engine automatically the first time you open the app. • Chapters and skip markers show up sooner while you listen, even with notifications turned off. • Episode summaries: summaries now work for downloaded episodes, and a summary that's still being written no longer shows as failed. • Playback: resuming from CarPlay or the lock screen no longer jumps back to an old position, and tapping a timestamp on another episode's page no longer moves the episode that's playing. • Apple Watch and CarPlay: your watch stops when your iPhone starts playing, and CarPlay's Recently Played now matches your History. • Episode Chat and Brain polish, plus stability fixes.
