How it works
Upload a photo of your elf
Take a picture of your elf in its scene. Elf Alert turns that photo into a short video where the elf comes to life and returns to the final pose.
Schedule the “New Footage Detected” alert
Pick the time you want an alert to pop up when your kids are nearby so it feels like the elf was just caught on camera.
Watch together and record the reaction
Hit play, hand over the phone, and use the built in reaction recorder to capture your kids’ faces while they watch the “evidence.”
Make your elf talk
Type what you want your elf to say and make it speak in a fun, kid friendly voice. Perfect for reminders, inside jokes, or special messages from the North Pole.

The idea of it is so fun to just catch the elves in the act of having and causing mischief!! The reaction camera of the kids just make the whole act so worth it! I spent so long trying to mess with other video makers and this just makes it easier without a water mark that goes with the other video makers. The one thing I would add would be a preview of what your video is going to be because if you’re not as super descriptive in your text and it turns out messed up or not what you wanted, it wastes one of your credits. So after an hour and wasting 5 credits I know I have to be more cautious of when I make more videos. Other than that it’s a fun app for sure.

UPDATE: Support was able to help me quickly and resolve some of this. They’ve been super supportive and made quick fixes.Videos can be great but I’ve found it works 30% of the time, sometimes videos spin on creating forever, sometimes they get produced with random gibberish writing in the video and can’t be used. All these “extra” tries spends credits. It’d be nice if you could get a few tries per credit or get a credit back if you don’t like the output. When you do actually get a one to complete, and it’s good quality video it’s a cool app but problems with UX for sure.

Totally worth it

I got this to try out the 1 free video and it was so cool, so I got the $29 for 25 videos. I did quickly learn you have to be specific in what you want. I had one elf have two heads when it was doing cartwheels. With AI still developing and getting better over time I think this app is totally worth it. My class is going to love watching a video of him and his friends Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart doing funny things about my school.

This app is amazing. I’m the oldest child and I helped my parents move around the elf. My younger siblings love waking up and watching the “cameras” as the elf moves throughout the night. I love doing this and it’s such a great bonding time in the mornings with me and my siblings. I 10 out of 10 recommend this app though it does take a few minutes to generate the video. It is so worth it in the end.
