Shifter 1.6.0 comes with a new look. Screens are simpler, text is easier to read, and what needs your attention shows up first. New look - New typefaces and calm colors, in light and dark mode. - The app follows your phone’s text size, up to 1.5 times. Manager home - The home is now one page: "Waiting for you", "Scheduled today" and "Manage". - "Waiting for you" names the person and the day, such as "Mert’s leave on Saturday". Tap a row to open the request. - When the week has drafts, you can publish it right from the home page. - "Scheduled today" shows who is working now and who comes in later. Weekly schedule - The day strip marks days with drafts or open shifts. - Draft shifts have a dashed outline, and shifts with nobody assigned say "Unassigned". - The publish button says how many shifts it will publish. After publishing, you see how many people were notified. - Undo brings back a shift you deleted. - In an empty week, "Copy last week" brings the shifts in as drafts. - While you edit a shift, overlap, leave, availability and working-hours warnings are listed before you save. - Auto-fill handles opening hours past midnight, weekly hour limits and leave. If it creates nothing, it tells you why. Employee home - The next-shift card shows how long until your shift starts, how long until it ends while you work, the days you are on leave, and weeks without shifts. - "This week" shows your hours and, if your pay rate is set, your estimated pay. - See who is working today on the home page. - Opening Notifications no longer marks everything as read. Swipe a notification to delete it, and tap Undo to bring it back. Requests - A new Requests page for managers: leave, swap and overtime requests in one list, grouped by date. Decided requests are listed by month. - Approve requests from the list, or reject them with an optional reason. When you approve overtime, you choose the pay multiplier. - Employees see all their requests and outcomes under "My requests" in Profile, with the reason when a request was rejected. - "New request" starts a leave, swap or overtime request. - The leave, swap and overtime pages are redesigned. Forms open from the bottom of the screen and show errors under the field. Fixes and security - Changes to your profile, availability and weekly hours stay after you close and reopen the app. - Tapping a button twice quickly no longer runs the action twice. - Saving without an internet connection shows a clear error instead of "Saved". - Data refreshes when you return to the app and when a notification arrives. If a list cannot load, a "Try again" button appears. - Leave day counts, week numbers at the end of the year, opening hours past midnight and daylight saving time changes are calculated correctly. - Overtime approvals and tips are not saved twice. - Approving the same swap twice no longer reverses it. - Shift reminders follow your setting and are removed when you sign out. - If you turned off "Published shifts" in notification settings, you no longer get publish notifications. - "Hide my number from coworkers" hides your phone number from coworkers. Your manager still sees it. Coworkers who haven’t updated the app yet may still see it for a while. - Employees see only their own swap requests. - Invite links are created on the server, and branch managers can create them too. - Invite links now use shifterapp.io, and links sent earlier keep working. Tap an active invite to show its QR code. - Removed employees no longer count toward your plan's limit. - Company setup continues where you left off. - When you remove an employee, their past shifts keep their name and their future shifts become open shifts right away. Shifts of someone who left the company or deleted their account say "Former employee".
