Pros:This app is great for instant collages! I use it to create scrapbook pages that I print into books. It has so many different templates, which you can edit or create your own. You can customize the page size, move and zoom the pictures around in the frame, and make the frames any size you want. All around it is a very easy and efficient scrapbooking tool. Cons: I wish the text feature had more flexibility. Getting the text box to fit where you want it is tricky and little annoying. Also wish the filters you can add to the pictures were more flexible too. If you add a filter it adds it to all the pictures in the collage rather than just the one that is selected. The scrapbooking elements to choose from are very scarce, but I’m more of a simple person so I don’t mind too much. There are a few “stickers” you can add and can use their backgrounds. I found a way to use a custom background paper by just creating a picture frame for the background and adding a scrapbook paper as the picture, then placing picture frames on top.

Currently (Version 3.6.10) I would give this app 3 stars due to several annoyances that the developers can hopefully fix in a next release. On the positive side: the simple user interface gets a lot of things right, and I found that with some tinkering it can produce quality outputs. However, in the current form this app is just OK (3 stars).The biggest problem is that the default settings is leading to poor quality output and surprisingly, there is no way to control that permanently in the preferences pane, so you will find yourself continuously having to change the paper settings to give yourself a higher quality output. Surprisingly, even with the “pro” version all the included templates have a very low default page size of 600 x 800 pixels, which leads to poor resolution by default. Once you manually override the ’Size’ setting to ‘letter’ this resolutions issue goes away, but you have to always remember to change these settings when you re-open the app, because there is no preference setting for that. This app lacks a functional “preferences” pane to control the default paper size across the application (Page setup under “File” doesn’t seem to do anything for this app). Furthermore, the export to PDF is currently the only way to output properly from this program (and even that is with some caveats, see below) because printing directly from app to printers has margin issues for US customers (I see that other reviewers have commented on this issue as well). The export to PDF function by default uses “A4” paper size (inspective of what you selected as your paper size under the ‘page setup’ menu), so US users will be continuously switching the paper size to “Letter” to get the paper margins correct in the PDF file – This app doesn’t remember these settings, nor is it remembering to enable “Auto Adjust Orientation” in the export window (which is ‘off’ by default). The $10 price of the app is reasonable, so I hope that the developers address these issues. This app has the potential to be great (I would probably give it 5 stars once the various default settings and preference menus are fixed).

You can't add or remove photos from the collage without it automatically shuffling all the photos around. It will also add dublicates of pics if you haven't finished adding all the photos you want, so it's hard to tell what you might be missing. Any arranging you done so far will be erased (including cropping) if you have to add/remove a photo. It makes the app useless unless you plan the collage before you put it together. If you're using hundreds of photos, this is infuriating when it ersases all of your work. This app DRAINS your battery! It makes my computer run very hard, with the fan, and made my computer shut down early with a good amount of battery life left. Don't have the same problem if I don't use the app. It IS a cheap purchase, so I guess you get what you pay for.

It’s a little clunky, but it works well once you get the hang of it, but isn’t every app that way? One thing made me think I needed to take my Mac Mini in for a check up: it is a memory hog! I repeatedly received an out of RAM message while using. When I looked it up, AI explained why it needed such huge resources. Just be sure to close programs/apps you are not using before firing it up. I have 16GB of RAM on this Mini and it uses quite a bit of it.
