*Kickstarter Project We Love - 196% Funded by Real Players*
Ascended is a mobile RPG fitness app where real-world exercise and daily habits drive in-game progression. Players complete narrative-driven missions by logging workouts, building consistency, and working toward long-term growth. As players level up, they meet new characters, move the story forward, earn gold and weapons, and increase their standing among their fellow players.
The Story: Battle for Arcadia
Set in the world of Arcadia, players train as recruits at ‘The Nexus’, a training academy for individuals looking to become of the Ascended–a chosen few who are deemed worthy to wield soulfire in defense of the realm. Arcadia is under constant threat, and only those who prove themselves through discipline, effort, and teamwork can rise to meet it.

Not Your Average Fitness App
Ascended offers users a way to express individuality, find meaning in progress, connect online with people with similar interests, and escape through fantasy-based immersion. While there are competitive themes introduced in certain features, users can expect most of Ascended’s gameplay to be centered around the user’s individual progress and health journey through habit formation.
Wearables & Fitness Data Sync
We are researching integration options and plan to explore support for fitness data sync as part of our future roadmap, with a target of 2027.
Age Recommendation
Ascended is recommended for players ages 13 and up. The experience may include fantasy violence, mild profanity, crude humor, and darker story themes.
Languages
Ascended is currently available in English. Additional language support may be added in future updates.

After years of saying I wanted to get back into exercising regularly, but never properly sticking with anything, this app has been amazing. I began using it at iOS release and am now on an 11-day exercising streak. I am not someone who can dedicate a ton of time to exercising - I aim for ~20-30 mins a day. This means I can’t progress through the story missions as quickly as some, but I’ve been making plenty of progress nonetheless and do not feel like I’m missing out. Well, okay - maybe sometimes I sneak in an extra workout before bed because I really want to find out what happens next. But I don’t think that’s a negative! The devs have been immensely helpful and quick to respond to even the smallest of problems. They take feedback seriously and patched the few early-launch bugs very quickly. The little community being built in their Discord server is also wonderfully friendly and supportive.

Since I’ve been using the Ascended app and I can see it becoming an app that keeps me coming back every day. The RPG style progression system makes workouts feel more rewarding instead of just another task. Earning gold, items, and leveling up gives me something fun and engaging to work towards beyond my usual fitness goals. What is keeping me engaged is the community aspect. Having other people around adds a layer of accountability, and the friendly competition is a great motivator when I need an extra push. On top of that, the story line is surprisingly engaging and gives you a reason to keep progressing. If you’re someone who enjoys RPGs and wants to find a fun way to stay consistent with workouts and healthy habits, Ascended is definitely worth checking out.
This app actually makes me want to be active!

I’ve been using this app for about a month now, and I genuinely look forward to logging my workout minutes so I can complete missions and read more of the story! I appreciate that some quests are character/world/story driven, and others are a bit more silly (like tracking down the bean king). Honestly the hardest thing about using the app is remembering to track the habits you can log! It’s a really well rounded fitness and wellness app that rewards any type of movement (not just going to the gym) and wellness beyond the physical body!!
Finally, a Fitness App for RPG Fans

I’ve been using Ascended since the beta, and it’s honestly one of the few fitness apps I’ve stuck with. I’ve always loved fantasy RPGs, so the idea of turning real workouts into character progression, quests, and a story immediately hooked me.What surprised me most is that it actually keeps me accountable. There have been plenty of days where I wanted to skip the gym, but I found myself thinking, “I need to finish this quest” or “I want to level up my character.” It sounds silly until you try it, but it works. The developers have also done a great job listening to feedback and continuing to improve the app. It’s been cool watching it grow from the beta into what it is now.If you’re into RPGs and struggle with staying consistent in the gym, I’d definitely recommend giving Ascended a try. It’s made working out feel a lot more fun, and that’s helped me stay consistent more than any other fitness app I’ve used.
5 new hairstyles are now available in character customization! This update also introduces new character art for two NPCs, bringing more of Ascended’s cast to life.
