Remote Codetrol turns your iPhone, iPad, or Mac into a remote control for AI agents running on your Mac and Linux machines.
Start with AI coding. Your Claude Code, Codex, or Copilot session runs on your Mac. Drive it from anywhere: review diffs, approve changes, leave inline comments, commit code. Save the commands you reach for daily as Quick Actions and trigger them in one tap.
Then bring your private apps along. Anything you run on your Mac (or Linux) becomes a Managed Service that any paired device can reach: a dev server, an admin panel, a personal dashboard. No tunnels or public DNS. No login screen to build. The trust comes from the pairing you already did.
Sprinkle in widgets for the services you check most. A widget is a tile-shaped html view of a service: build status, deploy state, a job's progress at a glance. Tap one and the full app opens behind it.
Layer in your notes and tasks. Capture your thoughts for a particular project next to the code. Dispatch your agent to finish tasks or have it create tasks to tackle later.
Hand the rest to Bots. Schedule them. Trigger them from a webhook. Chain AI prompts, shell scripts, and human approval steps into multi-step pipelines, with branching logic, live progress, and a full audit trail.
Reach your Mac from anywhere. Cloud Relay forwards encrypted traffic between your device and server when they're on different networks, and steps out of the way for a direct connection the moment they're on the same one. Mutual TLS on both ends. No accounts or VPN setup. No cloud storage. No tracking.
All of this is made possible by a single pairing. Install the Remote Codetrol server on your Mac (or Linux) and pair the devices you want to reach it from. Each paired device gets the same access to your services, widgets, notes, tasks, and AI sessions, with no accounts and no cloud in between.
Pair an unlimited number of Mac/Linux machines with a single phone or tablet. The UI integrates everything for you so you can work seamlessly across projects.
Works with Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Gemini, MiniMax, GLM, and Ollama. Requires a Mac or Linux machine running the Remote Codetrol server. AI subscriptions not included.
Hey! I came across your Claude code CLI remote control app in a thread full of them! I’ve also built my own, but it’s web-based and quite straightforward. I’ve been wanting to create a mobile app for it, but haven’t had a chance yet. Your version is the best I’ve tried and most similar to what I was trying to create. I wanted to say great job! Also, I was wondering how you switch models, like from Opus to Sonnet, etc?
- Multiplayer: invite guests (other users with Remote Codetrol) to sessions. Guests don't need to have servers set up--just the app.
- Deep links: agents can mint links to notes, tasks, and files that open directly in the app.
- Model picker: pick from Claude, Codex, GLM, MiniMax, and Ollama+ models via models.dev integration.
- Agent avatars: upload and replace agent photos; visible to everyone in the session.
- Notes: Reorganized view and added "All" view sectioned by Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, and Month.
- Feedback galore! Instant feedback for any part of an agent response. Feedback for managed services in the Preview tab, and introduces a Crop feature capability!
