Art of Stat: Stats Calculator

Statistics & Data Science

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Learn statistics & data science, or teach it, with interactive visual apps built for the classroom. Free 7-day trial, no credit card required. The Art of Stat app has the tools you need to learn (or teach) statistics & data science: from core concepts and probability distributions to data exploration, inference, modeling and prediction. Select one of more than 50 pre-loaded datasets, import your own CSV or Excel files, or type in small datasets directly. Created by an experienced college professor who has taught statistics & data science for many years. A guided, step-by-step learning experience: from summary statistics and visualizations to understanding statistical methods and their output. Try it free: 7-day trial, no credit card or subscription required. The app includes eight modules: EXPLORE DATA Summary statistics, contingency tables, correlations and rich visualizations: bar and pie charts, histograms, boxplots (including side-by-side), dotplots, and interactive scatterplots with color-by-variable. DISTRIBUTIONS Interactively explore probabilities and percentiles for key distributions (Normal, Student's t, Chi-square, Binomial and more), with simulation tools. CONCEPTS Central Limit Theorem (means and proportions), correlation and regression, confidence-interval coverage, and Type I/II errors with power visualizations. INFERENCE Confidence intervals and hypothesis tests for proportions and means (one and two samples, independent and dependent), Chi-square tests and ANOVA. REGRESSION Simple, multiple and logistic regression; inference for parameters (standard errors, confidence intervals, P-values); predictions; and interaction visualizations. MACHINE LEARNING Supervised and unsupervised methods with train/test split, visualizations, predictions, heatmaps and accuracy metrics, including confusion matrices. RESAMPLING Bootstrap confidence intervals and permutation tests for means, medians, proportions, correlation, slope and Chi-square independence. DATA EDITOR Import, edit and save datasets, or create your own in a spreadsheet. Works offline, so it's ready for class, exams or places with poor connectivity. The standard Apple Terms of Use (EULA) apply to any subscription offered in the app: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
