IdenticalCheck 2.0 finds duplicate files, not just identical pairs. • Find Duplicates: scan folders, whole drives, external disks and network shares for copies, and see how much space they take. • Right-click a folder in Finder and choose Find Duplicates in Folder, or drop a folder on the menu bar panel. • Compare A → B finds the files on a backup drive that you already have on your Mac. • Auto-select keeps one copy of every file for you: the oldest, the newest, the shortest path, or the copies in a folder you choose. • Quick Look previews, filters by kind and size, folder exclusions and CSV export. • Everything goes to the Trash, and Undo puts it back. • Checking files is faster and uses less memory with very large files. Checking files and finding duplicates are free. Moving duplicates to the Trash is a one-time in-app purchase. IdenticalCheck 2.0 requires macOS 15 or later.

• Menu bar panel: click the icon to open a panel with a drop area. It stays open while you work in Finder, so you can drag files in without aiming for the menu bar. Handy on macOS 27, where dragging to the top of the screen opens Mission Control. • Right-click in Finder: select two or more files and choose Check if Identical. • Compare more than two files at once. Files with the same contents share a letter, so duplicates stand out. • See each file's SHA-256 hash, and select it to copy. • Choose Files… lets you pick files without dragging. • Errors now appear in the panel instead of a separate alert.
