People love calling this kind of app “cheating,” which is… honestly a weird hill to die on.One of AI’s biggest benefits is offloading cognitive overhead so you can focus on the work that actually matters. I’m often in back-to-back meetings that get painfully detailed—systems, data flows, database architecture, edge cases, you name it. In the moment, you don’t know what’s going to matter later, so trying to take perfect notes while also contributing strategically is a losing game.Cluely changes that. It lets me stay locked on the bigger picture during the conversation, keep the meeting moving, and still answer questions accurately without looking like I missed something. Then after the meeting I can review and process the details calmly and correctly instead of scrambling. And to the “high horse” crowd: totally your choice. Just don’t act shocked when you’re polishing your resume one day and using the same tools to nail interviews the next—right after realizing you could’ve had that edge the whole time!

I really enjoy the app overall. It has been extremely helpful for meetings, especially for capturing notes and keeping talking points handy on the fly. The Mac version works great. One improvement I would love to see on iOS is the ability to manage the different modes that are already created on Mac. Having those modes accessible and editable on both devices would make it much easier to switch setups depending on the meeting.

I use Cluely desktop for my meetings and the mobile app has been great for catching up in my meeting notes while I'm on the subway or away from my laptop. I haven't tried the meeting recording functionality yet but I plan on using it for in person meetings and interviews in the future.
