Someone is missing. A pet got out. Something was lost. FindSquad turns the people who show up to help into a coordinated search in minutes: draw the area, share a code, and every searcher sees the live map, their own sector, and what ground has already been covered.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Draw the search area on the map
2. Share a 6-character code (volunteers always join free)
3. The area is split into sectors and assigned to your team automatically
4. Live positions and coverage shading show what has been searched and what has not
5. Built-in chat with photos and map pins keeps everyone together
6. Slide to mark the search Found and the whole team is notified

- Tracking keeps recording with no cell service and syncs when you reconnect: trail, chat, photos and the Found alert
- Offline maps of the search area download automatically on every searcher's phone
- Hand a search to a co-lead; recover your search on a new phone with its recovery key
- Interrupted purchases are recovered automatically, never charged twice

PRIVACY FIRST
Your location is shared only with the people in your search, only while you are searching. Search data is deleted automatically after the search ends. We never sell data. Delete your account at any time from Settings.

Found alerts
The lead now gets a notification the moment a squad member reports the target found, even with the app in the background. Turn it on when you start or lead a search, or in Settings > Notifications.
Better exports
An exported search is now a standard GeoJSON file that opens in geojson.io, QGIS and other mapping tools. Trail points carry the time of each GPS fix, so stretches recorded offline show real times instead of the upload moment.
Fixes
Two people joining at the same moment no longer land in the same sector.
Trails recorded offline are no longer trimmed when the phone reconnects.
Clearer status when a Found report or the team note cannot be sent yet.
