The course covers topics including:
• Pitch and pitch variation
• Voice quality and articulation
• Pronunciation and clarity
• Prosody, speech melody, and expression

LIVE TOOLS FOR YOUR VOICE
Visualize different aspects of your voice while speaking:
• Real-time pitch monitor with Hertz display

FOR DIFFERENT VOICE GOALS
TransVoice.App can be used by people exploring topics such as:
• A more feminine voice presentation
• A more masculine voice presentation
• Androgynous or non-binary vocal expression
• Pitch, articulation, and speech melody

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
TransVoice.App is a learning and practice app for independent voice exploration. The app does not guarantee specific results.
Displayed measurements are estimates and may vary depending on your device, microphone, environment, and speaking style. Stop an exercise if it feels uncomfortable.
more the only thing I'll note is that the clips havent ever been created properly for me. they're either 2 seconds long or the entire session

I know apps have to make money somehow, but the way the subscription locks the lessons is horrible. Other than that, the app clearly has a lot of opportunities—which are all unfortunately locked.

1.6.0 Oct 1
Fixed how the app behaves when AI voice analysis is switched off in your privacy settings.
• Recordings that were never analysed no longer show an impression estimate. Until now a value worked out from your pitch appeared in its place, which looked like an AI result but was not one.
• The perception section in the session summary no longer animates as though an analysis were running. It says the estimates are off and where to switch them back on.
• Estimates measured while analysis was switched on stay exactly where they are.
1.5.2 Sep 9
Recordings that quietly went missing
If the recorder handed nothing back when a take ended — after a pause, or when it took too long to stop — the recording was skipped without a word. The file was on the device the whole time; the app simply never sent it. That is fixed, and if a recording is lost for any other reason the app now tells you at the end of the session instead of staying quiet.
Read aloud, rearranged
- The passage now names itself at the top, with Short and Full beside it, so the text has the rest of the screen.
- The line explaining what each prompter pace means is no longer cut off halfway.
- On Android the header could collapse into a tall empty box. It doesn't any more.
Also fixed
- On the pitch and loudness charts in German, the average labels were drawn across the chart itself. They now sit clear of it.
1.5.1 Aug 29
Read aloud — a new session tool
The other tools react to whatever you happen to say. This one hands you the same text every time, so two readings a month apart are comparable.
- Two passages per language, in two lengths: the Rainbow Passage in English, Nordwind und Sonne and Der süße Brei in German. The text follows your practice language, not the language the app is in.
- A result that leads with where your pitch sat — as a share of the reading, not a verdict on your voice. Then your average and median, your range and how much the pitch moved, how much of the reading sat inside your own target range, your reading rate against the passage, and how loud you were relative to the room.
- Playback under a chart of your pitch over time, so you can hear the moment a number came from.
- An optional prompter. Pick Slow, Normal or Fast: the passage lights the line you should be on, scrolls to keep it in view, and tells you how long the reading takes at that pace before you start.
- Nothing is recorded until you press Start, so the time spent getting comfortable never becomes a clip.
Recordings longer than a minute are no longer lost
The Loudness meter, Spectrum, Gender perception and Focus screens each sent a take as a single file, and anything past 60 seconds was refused and thrown away without a word — the session simply finished and the clip never appeared. This is why some of you lost recordings you were proud of, and we're sorry.
- Those four screens now cut a long take into pieces while it records and join them back into one clip.
- Finishing a session waits for the audio to actually reach the server, so a long reading can no longer be stored as just its first 30 seconds.
- If a recording fails to upload, the app now says so instead of staying quiet.
Also in this release
- Course modules and lessons that aren't written yet show as coming soon, with a clock rather than a padlock, and are left out of your progress.
1.5.0 Aug 27
TransVoice now fits a tablet properly, the practice phrase stops moving when you did not ask it to, and the single privacy switch for AI becomes three.
TABLETS
The app used to be a phone app blown up to fit, so a paragraph could arrive three times too big on a 13-inch iPad. Sizes now stop growing at phone proportions and the extra room is used as room: charts, dialogs and the reading column keep a sensible width and sit centred. All four orientations work, and the app follows the window, so Split View and Slide Over resize it live. It also opens at full size instead of a small floating window.
PRACTICE
• Choose what happens after you listen back to a clip: move on to the next phrase, or keep the current one so you can try it again.
• The practice phrase now carries across the tools, so you can take one sentence from the Pitch Monitor to the Spectrum and compare like for like.
• The pitch display setting finally changes what you see. Choose musical notes and the chart scale and both average badges are labelled in notes instead of hertz. The gridlines have not moved, so an older chart still lines up with a new one.
PRIVACY
• One consent question becomes three. Voice perception estimates, the chat and generated practice phrases are now separate switches, each saying what leaves your device and who processes it. You can allow the chat without allowing anything else, or the reverse.
• Generating practice phrases asks first. It was the one feature that sent data off to be processed without ever mentioning it.
• If you had the old single switch turned on, the app asks once what you meant by it. Nothing is assumed on your behalf, and nothing changes until you answer.
COMMUNITY
• The vote result bar has been redesigned. People were reading the old gradient as the verdict when it was only the scale. The scale is now a plain grey rail and only your own result carries colour: the band is how far apart the votes were, the dot is the average, and it stays hollow until ten people have voted.
• A switch turns the bars into columns, one per possible answer. Your choice is saved to your account and follows you into the web app.
ALSO FIXED
Review clips no longer shows an error screen after a session. A session can no longer come back from the background still saying it is recording while nothing is being captured. The intro carousel showed all three slides side by side on a tablet instead of one at a time.
Thank you for every bug report and every bit of feedback.
1.4.0 Aug 19
Fixes a crash introduced in 1.3.1: tapping Review Clips after a session opened an error screen instead of your recordings. Clip details works again.
1.3.2 Aug 14
Take a closer look at any single clip.
PITCH RANGE ON EVERY CLIP
Clips have always shown an average pitch. Now they also show the range your voice moved through, so you can tell a steady clip from a wobbly one at a glance. Two clips can share the same average and sound nothing alike.
CLIP DETAILS
Open a clip, tap the three-dot menu and choose Clip details. The recording, its pitch curve and its numbers are now on one screen:
- Play it back and scrub through the waveform
- See your pitch over time, with your target range shaded behind it and the stretches that fell outside it dimmed
- Drag along the curve to jump to any moment
- Average pitch, pitch range, stability, how much of the clip landed inside your target range, length and when you recorded it
- The automatic impression estimate, in one place with everything else
YOUR TARGET RANGE, NOT A FIXED ONE
The pitch chart now shades the range you set in Settings instead of a fixed band, everywhere it appears, including the session history you reach from Home, Profile and Community.
Nothing to re-record: clips you made before this update already have all the new numbers.
1.3.1 Aug 11
Version 1.3.0
This update is mostly about the practice tools. Long sessions can now be
replayed from start to finish, the live charts move more smoothly and use
less battery.
NEW
- "Play all" now replays your entire session, not just the last part of it.
Longer recordings are captured in segments while you practise and joined
back together for playback.
- Drag the pitch history back during a session to look at what you just did,
without stopping.
- Voting now includes an optional naturalness rating alongside the masculine
to feminine scale. It is never required, so you can still vote on gender
alone.
- Your own submissions show naturalness results next to the gender results,
on the same scale.
- The community tab and the recording screens show how many submissions you
have left today and when the allowance resets.
- New course lesson blocks: audio recorder, exhalation timer, free text
field, file downloads, and clearer intro, completion and exercise sections.
IMPROVED
- Pitch, loudness and spectrum are drawn on a fixed time base, so the line
moves at a steady speed on every device instead of speeding up or
stuttering.
- The charts no longer redraw the whole screen for every measurement, which
noticeably reduces battery use and heat during longer sessions.
- Voting, skipping or reporting a clip no longer reloads the whole queue, so
the next clip appears immediately.
- The course overview and lesson pages were reworked around the new blocks.
FIXED
- Quiet passages and syllable boundaries no longer drop out of the line mid
sentence.
- The position marker no longer flickers or jumps at the start and end of a
replay.
- The chart no longer shifts position after a replay finishes or when a new
segment starts.
- Fixed a slowdown that built up from around two minutes into a session.
- Audio recorded across a microphone or headset change is no longer lost.
- Long recordings no longer produce duplicate or missing segments.
- A temporary connection problem or rate limit no longer looks like being
signed out. The app keeps your session and retries instead of returning
you to the login screen.
Thank you for all the feedback. Please keep it coming.
