Worked grids as squares on the map, SSTV satellites in the QSO entry, and rig control on the family's newest connection core. MAP • Under Enable Grid Hunting, "Show Worked Grids" is now "Show Worked Grids Icons", and a new tick, "Show Worked Grids Rectangles", draws each grid square you have worked as a green square of its real size, with its name, such as LL93, in yellow in its middle once the square is big enough. A tap inside a square picks that grid. The grid button shows and hides both. • The worked-grid dots are 15% smaller and grow and shrink with the zoom; showing them no longer makes them jump. SATELLITES • Seven SSTV satellites fill in the QSO entry, receive only, mode SSTV: VIZARD-METEO, GALAPAGOS-UTE-SWSU (HC1PX), MONITOR-3, MONITOR-4, UTMN-2, Sakhacube and Luca. Rig control tunes an SSTV downlink in FM. • UNNE-1B (HADES-E2), HADES-L and ERMINAZ-2V, now AMSAT-OSCAR 130 (AO-130), are tracked on their right catalogue numbers: the ones they had were early names given to three other satellites of the same launch. • New: ERMINAZ-2U, now AMSAT-OSCAR 129 (AO-129), a packet digipeater on 435.900, with SSDV pictures planned on the same channel. It arrives switched off; tick it in My Settings. RIG CONTROL (Experimental) • Rig control runs on the same connection core as Ham Signaling, Ham Logging and Ham Imaging. • Icom network and Kenwood KNS links have a Network username field; for KNS, choose Administrator or User. • The Bluetooth device field can stay empty for the first radio found, or hold the radio's name. • What only you can fix, such as a login the radio rejects, now stops rig control with one message saying why, instead of trying again and again. • An IC-705 keeps the identity it accepted, and now lists the app as HamSatting705: an IC-705 that already knew it asks once to accept it again, on the radio. YOUR KEYS AND PASSWORDS • On iPhone and iPad, your N2YO, Hams.at and aprs.fi keys, your APRS-IS passcode and your rig and rotator passwords now live in the Keychain. They move there by themselves the first time this version opens, and they stay on this device: on a new one, enter them again in My Settings. On a Mac they stay in the app's settings, as before. ALSO • On a small screen with the largest text, a question's second button sits below the first instead of being cut off. • If your saved settings cannot be read, the Settings page now says so each time you change something. 73 de A41UX

Share the map as a picture, Licences & Notices, and ten new satellites. MAP • A new button, the last one at the bottom of the map's buttons, shares the map as a picture: exactly what the map shows at that moment, at its own width and height, with the worked grids, lines, satellites, footprints and the details panel, and without the buttons. "Map" and the time in UTC sit above it. SATELLITES • New: UNNE-1B (HADES-E2), an FM repeater (145.925 up, 436.888 down, no tone); HADES-L, a cross-mode repeater (USB on 29.472 up, FM on 436.665 down); ERMINAZ-2V, a 145.920 packet digipeater; MarmotSat (CO-128), KOYO and SCION-X, packet digipeaters on 145.875 and 145.825; BY70-4, SSDV pictures on 437.443; Platform-6 and PADRE, music on 401.360; JAMX01 (Jing'an Dream Star), an FM repeater (145.950 up with tone 67.0, 435.500 down) with SSTV on 435.175 and SSDV on 435.500, on in its team's scheduled windows. • Several of these services were not switched on yet by their operators when this version was made: the app is ready for the day they open. New satellites arrive switched off; tick the ones you want in My Settings. • Rig control tunes HADES-L as it works: USB on the 10 m uplink, FM on the downlink. • QO-100: the QSO entry fills in 2400.200 up and 10489.700 down, a matching pair in the SSB segment (the old pair did not match on the transponder). • MARINA and KOSTKA now fill in the QSO entry; KOSTKA gets SSDV on 436.870 and Luca SSTV on 437.180 for their picture events. • AO-27 and MESAT-1 (MO-122) have ended and leave the satellite list; both stay in the QSO entry for older contacts. • SNUGLITE-3 is now tracked as DURI (436.788), the beacon that is heard. • AMSAT status: ARICA-2's dot now shows its reports, and MarmotSat, BY70-4 and JAMX01 find their AMSAT rows. RIG CONTROL • Disconnecting from an Icom radio over WLAN could freeze the app. It no longer can. ABOUT • A new link, Licences & Notices, between Version History and Privacy Policy: the licence of the app's font, the notices of the two open-source projects rig control follows, and the licences of every package the app is built with. Settings now saves itself, the SSTV decoder opens more than WAV, and every satellite starts switched off until you choose it. SETTINGS • There is no Save All button any more. A tick or a choice is saved the moment you make it; a typed field is saved when you finish it: when you press Done, move to another field, or leave the page. "Details saved" confirms each one. • All On and All Off save at once too, and so does Apply in the Easy view list. • An email address or API key that is not valid is not saved: the page says which field and why, and keeps the one you had. • Reset All App Settings now really clears the APRS callsign and passcode it showed as cleared. They used to come back the next time the app opened. • Saving a setting no longer starts Tips & Tricks over from the first tip. • A tick box answers exactly where it is drawn. The rows are close together, and a tap on the lower half of a tick used to go to the row beneath it. SATELLITES • A new install starts with every satellite switched off, and Reset returns to that, so a first look at the pass list no longer spends your N2YO requests on satellites you never chose. Tick the ones you want. If you were already using the app, your satellites stay exactly as they were. NEW QSO • Choose a satellite, or type its name in full, and its mode, bands and frequencies are filled in for you: the same details the small button beside the name fills. Change the satellite and they change with it; delete the name and they are cleared. SSTV DECODER • Browse File now opens MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC recordings as well as WAV. • Long recordings need about a quarter of the memory they did, and decode faster. The picture decoded is the same, dot for dot. • A recording longer than twenty minutes is refused with a message instead of being attempted. • My recordings: each recording now has a delete button, with a confirmation. One at a time, and only recordings this app made. • The My recordings list is now solid: the page behind it no longer shows through. • A picture sent with standard timing is now decoded where it belongs. It used to come out to one side, by ten pixels in Martin 1 and fifty in PD 120, more or less from one recording to the next, and Shift had to make up for it. A Shift you had saved for that is put back to 0 once; set it again only if a recording needs it. • A Robot 72 recording with its header no longer starts two lines down the picture. EVERYWHERE • A message that carries a button, such as Recording saved with Share, now goes away by itself after a few seconds like every other message. It used to stay until you swiped it. • The welcome dialog fits smaller phones: its Got It button is always in sight, and Tip of the Week no longer opens on top of it the first time the app starts. APRS messages can now be sent. APRS MESSAGES • Sending works. The message screen used to disconnect APRS as it opened, so it always said your passcode was not accepted. Now the APRS layer stays connected while the message screen, or any other pop-up on the map, is open. • While APRS-IS is still checking your passcode, the message screen says so, and it switches to the send row by itself the moment the server answers. • If the server refuses your passcode, the message names the callsign it was checked against, so a passcode made for another callsign is easy to spot. • Settings now says where to get a passcode: a number made from your callsign, the same for every SSID. Get yours at apps.magicbug.co.uk/passcode. Ham Satting still never works one out for you. • Ham Satting now acknowledges only messages sent to its own APRS callsign, or to your callsign with no SSID. A message to another of your SSIDs, such as your handheld radio, is still shown, but that station acknowledges it itself, so the sender sees delivered only when it really arrived there. • Steadier sending: a message that does not go out on one try, during a brief reconnection for example, is tried again instead of being marked no reply at once, and two messages leaving together no longer get in each other's way. • The callsign box writes in capitals as you type, the character count sits inside the message box, and closing the message screen puts the keyboard away. • With many messages, the list scrolls inside the message screen and keeps the newest in view, so the callsign and message boxes stay above the keyboard instead of sliding down behind it. • Turning the APRS layer off, or changing your APRS callsign, while the app was quietly reconnecting could leave a hidden APRS-IS connection running in the background. QO-100, tracking on the Mac, APRS messaging, your own QSL card background, and four new ways to reach your radio. QO-100 — THE FIRST GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITE • QO-100 (Es'hail-2) is now tracked, in a new Geostationary category. It never rises or sets, so instead of a pass list you get its fixed pointing from your grid — azimuth, elevation and distance — worked out on your device: no N2YO key needed, no API hits used. • Using a transverter or an LNB? Enter the uplink and downlink LOs once, and rig control tunes your radio to the IF, adding the LO back when you turn the dial. TRACKING ON THE MAC • Each pass card now has a Track button on the Mac: live azimuth, elevation and range, the AOS/LOS countdown, and the Doppler-corrected uplink and downlink — with your radio and rotator following the pass, just as they do on the AR page. FOUR NEW WAYS TO REACH YOUR RADIO (EXPERIMENTAL) • FLRig — any radio FLRig drives. • FlexRadio SmartSDR API — tunes the slices you already have open; never creates or keys one. • Ten-Tec: Orion, Orion II, Eagle, Argonaut V and VI, Omni VII, Jupiter. • Alinco: DX-SR8, DX-SR9, DX-77 — HF radios, a 10 m downlink receiver for AO-7 mode A. APRS MESSAGES • Messages to your callsign arrive on the map with an unread badge. Add your APRS-IS passcode to send and acknowledge them — the APRS-IS server, not the app, decides whether it is valid. QSL CARDS • Put your own picture behind your QSL cards, and export a card for every contact the current filter shows in one go (up to 200). RECORDINGS • A saved recording offers Share straight away, and the SSTV decoder's new My recordings list opens any of them to decode or share. SATELLITE CATALOGUE (SEPTEMBER 24 AUDIT) • FO-29 defaults now mid-transponder (145.950 / 435.850); AO-91 needs no tone; Tiangong gets its real FM repeater (435.075 / 145.985); "ISAT" and "Sparrow" identified as D-STAR ONE iSat and Sparrow; Taurus 1 downlink 435.840; Lobachevsky 67 Hz tone; IO-86 SSDV on 435.880; SSDV rows for COLIBRI-S and RTU MIREA 1. • Every satellite's orbit figures were recomputed from current elements, and sun-synchronous ground tracks now turn at the right latitude. ALSO • ADIF exports use the satellite names LoTW expects (SO-125, not "HADES-ICM (SO-125)"). • N2YO, Hams.at and aprs.fi keys are masked, with an eye button to check what you pasted. • The screen stays on while your rig or rotator is connected on the AR page. • Arabic: Settings titles sit on the right, and changing the language updates every open page. • On iPad, share sheets open beside the button you tapped. 73 de A41UX

Rig and rotator control: Ham Satting can now tune your radio and point your antenna for you. RIG CONTROL (CAT) - Track a pass with a radio connected and both VFOs stay Doppler-corrected for the whole pass: uplink pre-compensated, downlink corrected, hands-free. It also sets the satellite mode and sends the CTCSS tone the FM birds need. - It tunes your radio. It never transmits — keying stays entirely in your hands. - Turn the dial yourself and the app notices within a second and stops fighting you. - Eight ways to connect: rigctld, Icom WLAN (CI-V over UDP), Kenwood KNS, Elecraft K4, serial over TCP, the IC-705's Bluetooth LE, a BLE-UART bridge, or TCI (WebSocket) for Expert Electronics SunSDR2 and MB1. - Around 90 radio models in a searchable picker, each with its CI-V address, baud and driver filled in. ROTATOR CONTROL (new) - Points your antenna at the satellite for the whole pass — azimuth and elevation — then parks it where you choose at LOS. - Speaks rotctld, GS-232, Easycomm, SPID, DCU-1 / Rotor-EZ / Green Heron RT-21, Prosistel and M2 RC2800, over the network or a serial-over-TCP bridge. Azimuth-only rotators work. - You declare the travel limits and where azimuth zero sits, because only you can see the mast. It reads the position back, so it never drives blind. Both are off by default and marked Experimental. With nothing connected the app behaves as before. On iPhone and iPad, on the AR tracking page. SSTV DECODER - New Auto (VIS) mode, now the default: the app reads the header the transmitter sends and picks the mode for you — no need to know whether the ISS sent PD 120 or Robot 36. - Nine modes that were listed but never really worked now decode for real, including Wraase SC2-180 and Scottie DX. Twenty modes are offered and all twenty decode. - PD colours fixed — including PD 120, the mode the ISS uses — and Robot 72 and Robot 36 colour timing corrected. - AVT 90 and AVT 94 removed: their timings cannot be established from any reliable source. MAP, LOG AND APRS - Your height above sea level now shows on the map details strip, looked up from a terrain model rather than the receiver's own altitude, which is the least accurate figure GPS gives and drifts while you stand still. - APRS now proves a satellite contact: a packet repeated by the ISS shows the relaying station under "RF heard by". A Doppler sign error that put the Digital uplink 10 kHz off on the wrong side — so packets never got in — is fixed. - ADIF, CSV and JSON exports name the space station ARISS, and write band and frequency as a pair or not at all, so a logging service can no longer refuse a whole upload. - The dark basemap has a new source: the old one began stamping "API KEY REQUIRED" across every tile. HAMS.AT - Announce your own activation: pick a satellite, find your passes, choose one, and the app posts it for you. Needs your own Hams.at API key. Reading the list still needs no account. - The Hams.at page now loads — it goes through the phone's native networking, which completes the TLS handshake the app's own stack could not. CATALOGUE - ISS SSTV is on 437.550 MHz and ISS APRS on 437.825 — the Zvezda 2 m radio is down per ARISS. The app follows the working frequency. - New: MARINA, KOSTKA, Scorpion, SamSat-Ionosphere, CubeSX-HSE-3. Retired: D-STAR ONE Sparrow and iSat, HYPERVIEW-1G, PARUS-T2, HO-113. - A large batch of invented frequencies is corrected: 56 satellites all claimed the same 145.900 uplink with the same 67 Hz tone, which is impossible. 46 are fixed, and 20 satellites you could work but not log join the QSO list. Satellite catalogue update + map panel polish. NEW SATELLITES (3 — all confirmed in the CelesTrak amateur orbital-element feed) • Gemini-Pollux (NCKU, Taiwan) — a V/U data transponder and APRS digipeater with a 436.500 MHz downlink. • EMISAR (401.334 MHz digital messaging) and OPTISAT (400.360 MHz telemetry beacon) — receive-only curiosities for SDR listeners. Both transmit just below the 70 cm amateur band (400-401 MHz, the Space Operations band), so they are listen-only with an SDR — no uplink, no QSO — like the music-broadcast satellites. CATALOGUE FIX • LAPAN-A3 auto-fill corrected: its frequencies had been mistakenly copied from its sister satellite LAPAN-A2 (IO-86). LAPAN-A3 has no amateur voice repeater — its only signal is a 437.425 MHz telemetry beacon (receive-only) — and the auto-fill now reflects that. GRID LOCATOR MAP • The map info panel now shows a single tidy line — QTH, the distance to your live position, and your current grid ("You are here") — matching the Ham Logging companion. Any field not yet set shows a dash (e.g. before you save a QTH or get a GPS fix). • Fixed the info-panel text so it grows and shrinks with your Font Scale accessibility setting, like the rest of the app. 73 de A41UX

Ham Satting Version 4.8.0 +48 is now live in stores Callsign-change handling + QSL card fix. QSL cards - A QSL card you export for an older QSO now shows the callsign and grid you actually used for THAT contact, taken from the QSO itself — not whatever is currently in your Settings. So if you change your callsign, cards for your old QSOs stay correct instead of being re-labelled with your new call. (Other exports — ADIF, CSV, JSON, the share image — already used each QSO's own callsign.) Callsign changes - When you change your callsign in Settings, Ham Satting now asks whether to keep your previous callsign, so your identity stays consistent across an upgrade or change — and you can change it as many times as you like. Your old QSOs always keep the callsign they were logged with. AR live tracking — tone & mode at a glance - The TX box now shows the access tone when a satellite needs one for its uplink (e.g. "Tone: 67.0"), and the RX box shows the transponder mode (e.g. "Mode: FM" or "Mode: SSB"). Both read straight from each satellite's own data, so a single glance tells you whether a pass needs a tone and what mode to set. The lines appear only when there is something to show — no tone, no Tone line. - Frequency readouts now match how real radios display each mode. SSB/CW linear satellites, where fine Doppler tuning matters, keep four decimals (100 Hz). Ham Satting Version 4.7.0 +47 is now live in stores Two big additions for satellite operators. Sat Match — find the passes you can actually work with another station. Enter your home grid and a destination grid, pick a satellite, and Sat Match lists the windows where the satellite is above the horizon at BOTH locations at the same time — the mutual-visibility window for a contact. It covers the next 7 days, shows the maximum elevation reached at each end, and every match card behaves just like a prediction card: tap the compass for the sky path, follow the pass for a notification, add it to your calendar, open it in AR, and share it as an image. Hams.at — a new page listing upcoming satellite rover activations. No login or API key needed; it reads the public Hams.at feed and refreshes every minute, showing the callsign, satellite, mode, frequency and AOS/LOS. Ham Satting update ver. 4.2.0 +42 is now Live on all Stores What new and enhanced Features: - Display Language Support. Toggling between 10 Languages that will instantly change the main display contents and labels, including the weekly Tips & Tricks Informative lessons, Exported Images will be in English only. Many Flavours are available - Reliable pass notifications. Toggling multiple pass-notification bells in quick succession used to occasionally drop one of the entries from the in-app list (the OS alarm still fired, but you couldn't see or cancel it from inside the app). The save path now serialises rapid mutations so the list always matches what's actually scheduled. - Smoother AR tracking. The AR Doppler page now skips redundant compass-driven repaints. The smooth arrow motion you see is unchanged because a dedicated 60 FPS animation timer drives it; the magnetometer just no longer triggers a full page rebuild on every micro-jitter. Lower CPU on the AR page, especially on older devices. - Faster log imports. Importing a large QSO log (e.g. cross-app from the Ham Logging companion) now uses an O(N) hash-set duplicate check instead of O(N×M) linear scans. When the app catches an unexpected error during your session, a one-shot snackbar appears with an EMAIL action — tapping it opens your mail app pre-filled with a plain-text report (callsign, app version, error trace). AMSAT LIVE ACTIVITY INDICATOR (NEW) Every prediction card and notification now carries a small dot showing the satellite's activity over the last 24 hours UTC, sourced from the AMSAT Live OSCAR Satellite Status page. The dot uses the AMSAT cell palette directly so it mirrors what you see on amsat.org: blue = active (heard), purple = ISS Crew Voice, amber = telemetry/beacon only, orange = conflicting reports (with a small "?" overlay), magenta = no-signal reported, grey = no reports. A hollow ring means AMSAT does not track that bird. Tap the dot to open a themed popup: the last 48 hours of activity in a tight grid (dates header on top, services stacked on the left), tap any cell to see individual reports (callsign + Maidenhead grid + 15-min UTC slot) with a × dismiss button.
