Talki Kids AAC+ is a warm, child-friendly AAC communication app made to help children express wants, needs, feelings, routines, and thoughts using visual communication boards, picture tiles, sentence starters, custom photos, and device text-to-speech.
It was created for families supporting children with autism, speech delays, apraxia, and nonspeaking or minimally speaking communication needs. The goal is simple: make everyday communication easier, more personal, and more familiar for the child.
Children can tap picture tiles to speak words and phrases, build simple messages, use sentence starters, practice Social Scripts, explore Free Talk, and share thoughts as communication grows. Parents and caregivers can personalize the experience with familiar photos, simplified boards, and visibility controls that match the child’s daily life.
Talki Kids AAC+ can support communication at home, during routines, when preparing for school, during transitions, at mealtime, before bedtime, or anytime a child needs help expressing something important.

AAC COMMUNICATION BOARDS
Use visual boards and picture tiles to support everyday communication. Categories include needs, emotions, sensory support, daily routines, school, family, food, drinks, places, activities, colors, numbers, and more.
PICTURE TILES WITH DEVICE SPEECH
Children can tap tiles to hear selected words or phrases spoken aloud using the device text-to-speech voice. This supports expression without requiring speech recognition, recording, or a cloud account.
CUSTOM PHOTOS
Add familiar photos for family members, caregivers, foods, toys, school items, places, routines, pets, and important daily objects. Real photos can help a child recognize and choose what matters most to them.
SENTENCE STARTERS
Support growing communication with starters for wants, needs, feelings, actions, observations, and simple sentence building. Children can move from single words toward more complete messages at their own pace.
SOCIAL SCRIPTS
Use ready-made phrases for common social situations, greetings, asking for help, answering questions, transitions, and self-advocacy.
FREE TALK AND MY THOUGHTS
As communication grows, children can use Free Talk and My Thoughts to express more ideas, preferences, and feelings.
PARENT CONTROLS
Parents and caregivers can simplify the board, manage visibility, and keep the app focused on what is most helpful for the child.

Dynamic and personalized content—including the Free Talk keyboard, My Information, custom labels, names, and typed text—continues to use the device’s built-in text-to-speech.
This update also improves pronunciation for selected tiles, audio consistency, app reliability, and privacy protections for a smoother communication experience.
