Reaction Time Tracking
See how fast your brain really is. Every answer is now timed individually, and your average reaction time
is displayed on the game-over screen, quick stats, and detailed statistics view. Track your cognitive
speed over time and watch yourself improve.
Difficulty Presets
Choose your challenge level. Easy mode uses 4 colors for a relaxed experience, Normal ramps up to 6, and
Hard pushes you to 8 colors including Pink and Cyan. Select your difficulty before each round with the new
preset selector.
Interactive Tutorial
New to the Stroop Test? A guided 3-page tutorial walks first-time players through the rules and mechanics.
Tap the help button anytime to replay it.
Dynamic Light Theme
Light mode now adapts to your active color theme instead of using a fixed palette, giving you a polished
look no matter which theme you choose.
Accessibility Overhaul
We've made Stroop Challenge more accessible than ever:
- Full VoiceOver support with semantic labels and live announcements on every interactive element
- System dark and light mode support
- Reduced Motion integration — animations respect your system setting, or choose your own speed including
fully off
- Sound captions display on-screen text when sound effects play
- Three color-blind modes (protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia) add unique shape icons to buttons so
gameplay never relies on color alone
Performance Improvements
The game view has been rebuilt from the ground up for smoother gameplay. Granular widget rebuilds
eliminate unnecessary screen updates, background gradient animations use efficient rendering, and
achievement checking is now data-driven for faster results.
Timed with Bonus Mode Update
Wrong answers now subtract 2 seconds in Timed with Bonus mode, making it more strategic. Think fast, but
think right.

- Fixed speed bonus calculation that was using incorrect round duration
- Fixed animation multiplier issue
