Master Jazz Piano Voicings: In Every Key, In Your Hands
Jazz Piano Voicings builds the muscle memory that shows up on the bandstand. Connect a MIDI keyboard or tap the on-screen piano — every session is real playing, in every key, under your hands.
Practice With Your Hands, Not Just Your Eyes
Other chord apps quiz you on note names and show you diagrams to memorize. That's music trivia, not piano playing. Knowing that a rootless G7b9b13 contains B–F–Ab–Eb is a long way from playing it when the chart hits your stand.
Jazz Piano Voicings closes that gap. Every session is hands-on playing, building the physical muscle memory that makes voicings automatic, not effortful.
Over 1400 Voicing Practice Cards. Your Way.
Practice the way you actually think about jazz. Custom Practice mode lets you choose your chord types, keys, and card ordering, so every session targets exactly what you need. Or jump straight in with built-in presets designed around real jazz vocabulary:
Guide Tones (ii-V-I): Hear the voice leading that drives jazz harmony
Dominant Focus: Own the chord that shows up most on every chart
Altered Dominants: The advanced colors that define modern jazz piano
Nail a voicing? It fades into the background. Struggle with one? It comes back until you own it. No wasted reps, no drilling shapes you already know.
From Your First Triad to Altered Dominants
Whether you're playing your first rootless voicing or refining your command of extensions and altered dominants, Jazz Piano Voicings meets you where you are:
Triads and seventh chords across all 12 keys
Practical rootless voicings — closed and open (Drop 2)
Guide tones to train your ear for voice leading
Altered dominants and advanced extensions
Grand staff notation with handwritten jazz chord font
MIDI keyboard support — wired or Bluetooth
Focused Practice, No Wasted Reps
Three mastery levels track your progress from new to familiar to mastered. The adaptive curriculum keeps practice focused — always moving you forward, never wasting time on what you've already locked in.
Watch your accuracy climb. Build your streak. See 1,456 voicing practice cards slowly, satisfyingly click into place.
Stop studying chords. Start playing them.

more The piano chord apps I’ve seen test rote memorization of note names or by having to tap a tiny keyboard on the screen. This isn’t that useful since it’s not actually playing the chords and sure, I might be able to recall what the b13th is on a chord but can I actually play it?!? Worse, the voicings in the apps I’ve seen aren’t often useful in a jazz context. Anyway,I tried this app with a MIDI keyboard attached and WOW, this is SO GOOD and FUN!!! Physically playing it on a real controller really works my muscle memory, because now I’m actually PLAYING it!!! Would love to see a chord-progressions mode or maybe some kind of timed playing quizzes to stress my muscle memory in new ways. Bravo!

I’ve tried other piano chord apps and they’re so complicated. This one cuts straight to it and is simple to use. Like the other reviewer said, this is very fun with a MIDI keyboard attached. It’s more like a game than learning rote jazz harmony. Great practice tool, keep it up!

Plug In and PLAY
Connect your MIDI keyboard—wired or Bluetooth—and finally practice voicings the way they're meant to be learned: under your fingers.
No more tapping notes on glass. No more trivia. When Jazz Piano Voicings asks for a Dm9 voicing, you PLAY it. On a real keyboard. With real feedback.
This is how voicings actually get into your hands for the gig.
With a keyboard connected, voicing cards auto-capture your playing and advance automatically when you nail it. Miss one? Play it correctly twice to move on—deliberately reinforcing the neural pathway before your hands learn the wrong thing.
