Record the flight with your phone. Press Start on the Log lesson screen before taxiing, fly, press Stop: take-off, landing, flight time and landings are read from the GPS track and filled in for you, and the track is saved with the lesson. Recording continues with the screen locked. Bookings: a shared calendar per aircraft where instructors book school flights and students, and log the lesson straight from the booking. Also: push notifications for bookings and lessons, and smaller fixes.

Students can now use BetterFlare too. Sign in with your student account to follow your syllabus, hours, landings and licence minimums, read your instructor's feedback after every flight and keep licences, medicals and theory tests at hand. For instructors: a cross-country switch when logging lessons, syllabus minimums with progress per student, hour and landing categories on every flight card, and Log Out under Account.

• Log a lesson as Dual, Solo or Dual + Solo. For a first solo, enter the dual part and the rest of the block time goes to solo. • Pick the lesson date from a calendar. • Type clock times as plain digits, e.g. 0930. Airborne to landing fills in the flight time. • Open any exercise to read its full description, on the student card and while logging a lesson. • Exercises already completed are folded away while logging, so the next ones are right there. • Keep students' licences, medicals and theory tests on file, with a warning before they expire. • Cross-country hours for PPL training. • Admins can switch block times on or off from the Organisation screen. • Adding a student takes you straight to their student card.
