Clean, Fast & Genuinely Native
Adeeb Bin Shakhawat
Vidi is easily the most polished video players on macOS right now. The Liquid Glass design is implemented beautifully, with smooth translucency and fluid animations that make the app feel truly native to the system. Performance has been great in my experience, with quick load times and reliable playback across different file types. It handles every file type I throw at it with zero stutters or issues. The interface is clean and stays out of the way when you’re watching, but controls are always easy to access when needed. What really stands out is how cohesive everything feels. Vidi doesn’t feel like a typical third-party player, it honestly feels like something Apple could have made themselves. If you care about both design and usability, it’s absolutely worth it.
Perfect for Language Learning
Man.Osm
This app has transformed how to study foreign films. The ability to instantly search and download subtitles from OpenSubtitles, combine it with the "Voice Boost" feature for clearer dialogue, and slow down playback to 0.5x makes language comprehension so much easier. It’s a fantastic, hidden gem for language students.
