LifeOS - Self Observatory
Find your strengths & habits.
Free · In‑App Purchases
Habits that slip? LifeOS just observes — "6 of the last 30 days" — no guilt. It reads your daily capacity and builds a plan that fits. Pro free for 30 days.
Self-Observation Method
Five small practices that decide how today's you should move.
Observe → Select → Act → Notice → Restore
LifeOS is the best implementation of this method.
You could practice it on paper. But for connecting sleep, activity, tasks, focus, and reflection into one place, LifeOS is the most natural fit.
The more you continue, the more the data starts to return "your strengths and habits."
Morning deep worker. Monday starter. The way your focus drops on the third session.
LifeOS gives you back the final fruit of observation.
"I feel off today." But you don't know why.
Tasks pile up. Some days motivation just isn't there. But without knowing the cause, you repeat the same cycle.
LifeOS - Self Observatory turns that vague feeling into a number.
Your sleep, activity, and focus data become a daily energy score from 0 to 100.
Tasks are suggested with reasons matched to your condition.
The more you use it, the more your winning patterns emerge.
A behavioral insight OS that tells you the best way to move through your day.
Your companion for upgrading not just work, but life itself.
Your Strengths + Your Observations (new in v2.5)
After 14+ days of focus data, your strength type emerges — morning deep worker, evening sprinter, steady type, monday starter, evolving. Habit observations are delivered as findings, not judgments. Strengths needing more data are previewed as "unlocking in N days."
Today's Power
Your daily energy, scored from sleep, activity, and calendar data. Know at a glance whether today is a day to push hard or take it easy. AI generates personalized advice that changes every day.
Today's 3
Tasks recommended with reasons matched to your energy. Switch by day with the date calendar. Toggle between "To Do" and "Today" modes. Tasks abandoned 30+ days get one-tap triage. Type "tomorrow 6pm" or "every Monday" — AI parses dates and recurrence automatically.
Your Day Guide
3 tips based on your patterns, displayed every day. Auto-adapts to Power state, time of day, meeting load, and sleep.
Insights
"On 7+ hour sleep nights, your focus is 42% longer." Sleep vs focus, steps vs task completion, auto-correlated. The more you use it, the more your own patterns emerge.
AI Monthly Review (Pro)
At the start of each month, AI analyzes your previous month — winning patterns, trends, and next-month suggestions.
Reset Protocol
NOT (what to avoid), GO (where you're heading), DO (today's actions). A guided reflection to regain direction. Results stay on your dashboard at all times.
Pomodoro Timer
Every focus session feeds your Insights. Control from Live Activity, Dynamic Island, or Apple Watch.
Apple Watch + Complications
Power score displayed on your watch face. Know today's state with a glance at your wrist.
Weather + Power
Detects approaching low pressure and factors it into your Power score. Now you know why you feel off.
Life Goals
Your bucket list, visualized. Track long-term goal progress.
Complete Privacy
All data processed on-device only. Nothing sent to external servers.
Cross-Device Sync
Seamlessly sync across iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch via iCloud. No re-onboarding when you add a new device.

more This update makes projects created on iPhone available on Mac.
・Fixed an issue that prevented projects created on iPhone from reaching Mac
・Refined weekly and monthly reviews around completed tasks and focus sessions
・Existing history is preserved. The new Power screens are not included in this release
2.17 Sep 15
We no longer judge sleep by duration alone.
・Until now, your recovery score came only from how long you slept. Deep sleep and REM were already being collected, but only shown on the health screen — never used
・Now both duration and sleep stages count. Two eight-hour nights can score differently depending on how much deep sleep and REM you got
・The targets are 60 minutes of deep sleep and 90 minutes of REM. Meeting them earns full marks, and going beyond them adds nothing (more is not necessarily better)
Nights without your Apple Watch are unchanged.
・When no sleep stages were recorded, the score is calculated from duration alone, exactly as before
・A night with no stage data and a night with zero deep sleep are treated as different things — we won't paint a night you slept without your Watch as a poor-quality night
We rewrote the wording around sleep.
・"Sleep has been short" is now "Recovery from sleep has been low." Every message that named sleep duration based on the recovery score has been rewritten
・This is a correction, not a rephrasing. Once stages are included, "low recovery" no longer means "short sleep," and the old wording could call a short night well-rested
2.16 Aug 13
Today now reads all the way from "why" to "what to do."
・Your condition score (Power) is the main element of the first screen: a large ring and number, recovery and load beside it, and the breakdown — sleep, heart-rate metrics, physical activity, daily load — in the same card
・A closing line names what is holding up your score today, leading into today's tasks
・Today on Mac has a new layout that uses the full window width
One less thing to enter.
・We no longer ask "how busy are you today?" Instead, your actual focused minutes (measured by the timer) count as daily load — what you actually did, not what you said
Numbers are more honest about themselves.
・Next to Power you'll see "Observing," "Trend forming," or "Fairly confident." Early on, it honestly says "Observing"
・On days when health data couldn't be read, we no longer fill in plausible-looking values — a missing day stays missing
・Anything not actually observed (like sleep on a night you didn't record it) is left out of numbers and AI-written text entirely
Fixes:
・Fixed repeating tasks multiplying across devices each day. Duplicates that already exist are not removed automatically — please clear them once by hand; they will not come back
・Fixed AI-written text occasionally disagreeing with the numbers on screen
2.15 Aug 8
An important fix for people using multiple devices.
- Fixed: when using both iPhone and Mac, repeating tasks could be created twice each morning. Already-duplicated tasks need to be removed once by hand — new ones won't appear
- The fix takes effect once all your devices are updated; duplicates may continue while one device remains on an older version
- Fixed: "Sync Now" and pull-to-refresh could silently do nothing right after launch
- Reset's Daily Levers are now counted honestly: items not turned into tasks are shown with a dashed circle as "not tracked" instead of counting against you
- The daily observation export now includes heart rate variability and resting heart rate tracking status (when enabled in Settings > Data Management)
- Internal groundwork for upcoming observation features
2.13 Jul 21
**Your time records are now editable.**
- Each task now shows an entry list — see every record (when, how long, timer or manual), tap to edit, delete what's wrong
- Actual time is now truly actual: stopped-early sessions count their real minutes. If numbers look smaller, that's honesty
- Watch your focus grow live: a recording badge appears and progress marks fill in real time, including partial progress (24 minutes shows as just short of one full mark)
- Fixed: sessions with a pause were recorded shorter than they actually were (these numbers go up)
- Focus time now matches across every screen (Today, Tasks, Report, review cards)
- Insights recalculated from the ground up. When there isn't enough data, we say so instead of guessing
- Sleep×Focus and Steps×Tasks correlations now use real per-day data; the Pro time-range selector works again
- New: daily observation export (Settings > Data Management) writes a JSON summary to iCloud Drive
- Deleting a Reset now syncs correctly across devices, with many Report and Reset screen improvements
- Many small fixes
2.12 Jul 19
Sync got even lighter.
• Greatly reduced unnecessary iCloud traffic during focus sessions and when switching devices — easier on your battery and data.
• Focus session history now syncs only what changed, making multi-device sync faster and lighter.
Thank you for using LifeOS.
2.11 Jul 16
Big improvements under the hood for sync.
• iCloud sync is now faster, lighter and more reliable — even with many tasks across several devices (we now sync only what actually changed instead of everything, every time).
• Further reduced cases where tasks could lag or get out of step between devices.
Thank you for using LifeOS.
2.10 Jul 15
Stability improvements.
• Fixed a sync issue where tasks could get out of step between your devices — creating, completing and deleting tasks now reaches iPhone, iPad and Mac more reliably.
• Fixed a small alignment issue on the Pomodoro screen.
Thank you for using LifeOS.
2.9 Jul 4
See whether your repeating tasks are sticking — gently.
• For tasks set to repeat (daily, weekdays, weekly…), LifeOS now shows how many times you've done them in the last 30 days. No scoring, no judgment — just a quiet look at how it's going.
• "Today's notice" surfaces one routine you've drifted from lately. A light nudge, with the details one tap away.
Pomodoro, refined.
• Focus sessions that finish while the app is closed are now recorded reliably. You get a gentle completion notification with "Take a break / Keep going" right there.
• Smaller fixes to the Lock Screen / Dynamic Island timer and to repeat settings.
The days you kept going and the days you didn't are both your data.
2.8 Jun 20
Task tidy-ups.
• Reworked "Break Down." It used to remove the task from your list — that's fixed. To split a task, just add subtasks (a checklist) right on the active task.
• Minor stability improvements.
Start each morning with "Today's Plan."
2.7.1 Jun 17
LifeOS v2.7 — Today's strategy, decided.
Not more features — a better way to decide your morning.
◆ Today's Strategy card
Power and your Today's 3, once scattered, are now one card at the top of
your dashboard. Your Today's 3, what to skip today, recommended focus
windows, and the reasoning — decided the moment you open it.
Choosing not to do a heavy task that doesn't fit today isn't
procrastination; it's a deliberate decision. Task actions now read
"Move to tomorrow," too.
◆ Your Owner's Manual (Pro)
A new "Your Owner's Manual" in Insights. Your strength type and the habits
you've started to show grow in one place. Free previews your first strength;
Pro unlocks every archetype and habit.
◆ Weekend review (Pro)
On weekends, see what worked this week and the pitfalls to avoid next week.
◆ Countdown to your first strength
"Your first strength shows in N days." A reason to come back, every morning.
◆ Try Pro free for 30 days
Use everything right up to the moment your strengths and habits come into view.
2.7 Jun 1
LifeOS v2.6 — Sync and polish.
◆ Fixed goal & folder sync
Goals and folders (Inbox / Work, etc.) created on iPhone weren't syncing to Mac. Fixed — everything stays in sync across your devices now.
◆ Sync works with lots of tasks
Sync could stall once you had more than 400 tasks. Fixed — even large task lists sync completely.
◆ Clearer goal limit
When you reach the free plan's goal limit (3), an upgrade prompt to Pro now appears instead of silently doing nothing.
◆ Display refinements
Strength and observation cards now scale cleanly with Dynamic Type, and VoiceOver reads them more naturally.
◆ Under the hood
The sync system was reworked on both the read and write sides to prevent this class of bug from recurring.
2.6 May 22
LifeOS v2.5 — A discovery engine for your strengths and habits.
◆ Your Strengths
After 14+ days of focus data, your strength type emerges automatically: morning deep worker, evening sprinter, steady type, monday starter, evolving. Delivered at the top of the Insights tab with the data source cited.
◆ Your Observations
Three neutral observations (slow Monday mornings / Friday afternoon fade / completion drops on the 3rd session) are shown as findings, not judgments. No "you should fix this." Just what the data sees.
◆ Unlocking Soon
Strengths and observations that don't have enough data yet are previewed as "N days to go." Monday Starter unlocks at 28 days. Evolving at 60.
◆ Accessibility & display improvements
VoiceOver support added to the new cards. Dynamic Type is now respected.
◆ Bundled fixes from after v2.4 submission
- Tag editor sheet text was rendering white-on-white — fixed
- Tags weren't syncing between iOS and macOS — fixed
- Internal cleanup
2.5 May 18
LifeOS v2.4 — The method becomes the experience.
◆ Self-Observation Method intro
Right after onboarding, you'll see the five practices (Observe / Select / Act / Notice / Restore) in one screen. From the very first day, you know exactly what this app is for.
◆ Dashboard reordered by the five steps
Cards are now arranged top-to-bottom as Observe → Select → Act → Notice → Restore. Scrolling the dashboard literally walks you through your day. Each step has a subtle header.
◆ "Act" and "Restore" as permanent shortcuts
Start a Pomodoro right now from the "Act" card. Reset (a 7-minute reset) and Goals (long-term direction) sit side by side in the "Restore" card. The way out of being stuck — and the way toward where you're headed — never leaves the screen.
◆ Today's insight rotates daily
The dashboard insight card now shows a different pattern each day. Patterns shown in the last three days are skipped. Early on, when data is thin, you'll see a "N days until your rhythm becomes visible" roadmap instead.
◆ Smaller fixes
- Tap the insight card to jump straight to the Insights tab
- Added VoiceOver support to the new dashboard cards
2.4 May 9
LifeOS v2.3 — Polishing the "aha" moments.
◆ Insights in human language
Replaced statistical values like "r=0.68" with plain-English
explanations like "On 7+ hour sleep nights, your focus is 29% longer".
Your patterns, in words you can actually act on.
◆ Confidence labels that grow with your data
"Low / Medium / High" is now "Observing / Emerging / Reliable" — you
can feel your data maturing as you use the app.
◆ Day-one roadmap
Right after onboarding, you now see what's coming: "Best focus hours
unlock in 3 days", "Sleep × Power correlation in 7 days". The path
ahead is visible from the start.
◆ Smaller fixes
- Floating timer no longer shifts width when toggling the Pomodoro view
- Keyboard no longer pushes the floating bar up
- "Defer to Tomorrow" now actually moves the task to tomorrow
2.3 Apr 26
LifeOS v2.2 — Sharper self-observation.
◆ See why your Power score is what it is
Next to today's Power, you now see how each factor contributes —
"Sleep +45 · Activity -9 · Life -6 · Meetings -6". Instantly know
what's lifting or weighing on your score. Tap for a detail sheet
with horizontal bars and a one-line callout of the dominant factor.
◆ Context from day one
LifeOS now looks back through your existing HealthKit sleep and step
history, so from the very first launch you see how today compares to
your past week, your Base Power, and yesterday. No more waiting a
week for insights to emerge.
◆ Measured focus time
See the "actual hands-on time" (paused time excluded) alongside each task's focus minutes. A more honest number for observing your true condition — shown quietly only when it differs from the scheduled time.
◆ Faster, more reliable sync across devices
Tasks completed on Mac now reflect on iPhone almost instantly. The "iCloud Sync" button automatically retries to catch in-flight changes from other devices.
◆ Completed tasks in Timeline
Completed tasks are now clearly marked with strike-through and a checkmark. See today's pace at a glance.
◆ AI placement feedback
When AI placement fails or finds no suitable slot, you now see why.
◆ Improved popovers on iPad and Mac
Larger tap areas make menus easier to hit.
2.2 Apr 23
LifeOS v2.1 — The more you use it, the more it fits you.
◆ Task Learning
Every task completion teaches LifeOS your "usual time."
Repeat the same task 3+ times, and your timeline will suggest "usually around 7:42 AM (12 times)" — one tap to place it.
◆ Unscheduled tasks stay visible
New "Unscheduled" zone at the top of Timeline View — tasks without a set time no longer disappear from your day.
◆ AI Placement (supported devices)
One tap to place unscheduled tasks at optimal times. AI considers your schedule, Power state, and learned patterns.
◆ "Your Routines" card in Insights
Established routines visualized by time, consistency, and weekday distribution.
◆ Deeper weekly review
"Your morning routine 'Journal' is consistently at 7:42 AM" — specific, personal, data-driven.
◆ Quality of life
Pomodoro break skip with logging, task selection preserved on timer reset, robust sleep data fetching, improved dark mode.
2.1 Apr 21
Why can't I focus today? Why do the same tasks linger for weeks? Why do I hit a wall every afternoon? LifeOS finds the answers in your own data.
