Altaflip calculates your sweat loss and tells you exactly how much water to drink after each session. Using research from Finnish sauna studies and peer-reviewed thermoregulation science, the app accounts for body weight, session duration, temperature, and bench level.
SWEAT LOSS & HYDRATION
Estimates your fluid loss based on body metrics, sauna type (traditional, infrared, steam), duration with sweat onset modeling, bench position, and heat acclimatization. Then calculates how much to drink, including electrolyte recommendations for longer sessions.
BENCH LEVEL INTELLIGENCE
Upper bench can be 20 degrees Celsius hotter than lower bench. Select your position and get adjusted calculations.
SAUNA, COLD PLUNGE & CONTRAST THERAPY
Sauna: Traditional, infrared, or steam with temperature and bench level
Cold: Ice bath, cold plunge, cold shower, or outdoor swimming with cold dose tracking
Contrast: Alternating hot and cold rounds tracked as a unified practice

Connect any standard Bluetooth heart rate monitor (Polar, Garmin, Wahoo, CooSpo, Scosche) for live HR during sessions. Post-session analytics include estimated calorie burn, thermal load scoring (TRIMP), cold shock response tracking, and heat acclimatization trends. Insights tab shows adaptation charts over time.

Daily goal adjusts based on body weight plus session deficits. Visual progress ring, quick-add buttons, and weekly trends.

- Your active session now shows on the lock screen and Dynamic Island — glance without unlocking to see elapsed time, phase, and live heart rate.
- The timer ticks natively even when the screen is locked, so elapsed time is always accurate without draining the battery.
- Live heart rate updates when a Bluetooth monitor is paired.
- Contrast sessions show the current phase (Hot / Cold) and round counter.
- Pause or resume from inside the app and the lock screen reflects it instantly.
- Tap the Live Activity to jump straight back to your session.
