Basic keeps the original left-to-right behavior (5 + 3 × 2 = 16); Expression builds the full expression as you type and applies × and ÷ before + and − when you press equals (5 + 3 × 2 = 11), saving the whole expression to history. Find it in Settings → Calculator → Order of Operations. Your choice syncs across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
