Long-press menu on chats and topics: pin, mute, mark as read or unread, delete or leave, and add to or remove from a folder. Swipe actions still work as well. Mark a chat as unread: the chat shows a dot, the mark syncs across your devices, and it clears when you open the chat. Faster member lists and mentions: member lists of recently opened chats appear straight away, and mention suggestions load more as you scroll. @name is only highlighted when it's a member of the chat. Clearer errors: if deleting, leaving or editing a chat or topic fails, you now see a message instead of the error screen. On the error screen, the "Retry" button is now "Back". Fixed meet links opening the room twice. Fixed being put back into a meet you had just left. iOS: hanging up no longer shows a fake incoming call from the same person. A meet now ends automatically after 60 seconds without internet. The buttons in the meet link window no longer go off-screen with long translations. New look: a "glass" design for the tab bar, chat list, chat header, message input, pinned messages, search bar and toasts. Messages: your own messages are now orange, with restyled replies, files, reactions and long-press menu. A very long message can now be scrolled in that menu. New file picker with recent photos and videos. Shared files keep uploading while you open the chat. Media viewer: now dark and full-screen. It loads faster, with fewer downloads at once and still previews for videos. Screens restyled: forwarding (with search matches highlighted), contact details, chat details, the topics panel, and the edit chat info screen. Chat info changes now save with one "Save changes" button instead of saving automatically. The voice messages permission is no longer shown. Better dark mode support across the app, and Android glass and button fixes.

Accounts switcher: long-press the My Profile tab to open an accounts switcher. It now opens as a popover anchored above the tab. Update prompt: you can now dismiss the "update available" modal. "Who viewed" row: shows a loading skeleton while the data loads. Calls & Meet: Fixed the meet picture-in-picture window staying on screen after you end a call. Stability & fixes: Fixed the app freezing when you leave or delete several channels in a row. Pinned messages are no longer fetched for a channel that's already gone. An error in one event socket handler can no longer break the connection, and a stuck JWT refresh now recovers. Bottom sheets and the action bar opened on one screen no longer stay visible after you move to another screen. Tapping the status bar while the media viewer is open no longer scrolls the chat to the top

VPN / tunnel: gained UDP-protocol support. Calls: fixed calls leaving a stray ghost entry in the system Recents list; the dial ringback tone no longer plays when joining a meeting. Files & media: file save/download failures now show an error instead of failing silently; saving stale media re-downloads it instead of looping; and videos no longer freeze a second or two after launch. Inline videos now play only in the full-screen viewer. Chat: tapping a message notification now navigates straight to that message.

Calls: fixed the connection sound for private calls; and fixed a receiver-side error on WebRTC calls. Real-time: fixed an infinite socket-token request loop.

In-chat search: now auto-jumps to the first match when results come back, clears results when search closes, and no longer drops a next message that repeats the text you just sent. Meet calls: fixed connecting to a meeting with Bluetooth headphones connected; added cloud meeting recording, with a sound when recording starts and ends. Contacts: fixed the contacts list refreshing after an account switch and reworked its update logic.

Calls: added a short post-accept grace before the call opens; and enabled VPN and self-hosted (WebRTC) calls for all users. Meet: the system call screen now hides as soon as the meeting ends. App freeze / audio: fixed the app freezing on return from the background by moving audio-session work off the main thread and deferring on-foreground refetches; and fixed background audio being interrupted right after app start. UX: slowed screen-transition timing, and separated permission requests to avoid confusion.

Calls: redesigned the private call screen. Chat loading: fixed the loading placeholder rendering blank. Stability: fixed an app freeze when returning to the app. Media viewer: fixed the message list jumping after closing the media viewer.

Meet deep links: meet-v5 and meet-v6 links now open in the app like meet.stella.red (associated domains + Android/iOS link handling). Audio / background: fixed an app hang on returning from the background. Stability: guarded a Jitsi pinch-to-zoom crash when a finger lifts mid-gesture, and reworked the biometric-settings toggle to derive its state directly.

Calls: fixed an Agora double-initialization bug that could leak the audio session and leave later calls silent until an app restart; self-hosted (WebRTC) calls now recover from a brief network drop via ICE restart instead of ending on the first lost packet; refined remote-participant drop handling so a dropped peer gets a grace window instead of an immediate hang-up. Chat: the date separator and last-message state now update correctly as new messages arrive (previously they could freeze at their value from when the message first rendered). VPN/tunnel: upgraded icegate-tunnel to 0.4.0 with the broker-based connection flow. Navigation: fixed opening a pending meet link on launch being silently dropped when triggered from a nested screen's mount. Queued actions: show an error toast when a queued action (e.g. a reaction) fails to send.

Calls: fixed the system meet-call screen not closing when the meeting ends, and stopped a new outgoing call from being torn down when started right after a previous one ended. Chat drafts: file attachments are now saved in and restored from drafts, with server-expired files dropped automatically. Settings: localized the self-hosted calls (WebRTC/Agora) toggle. Under the hood: improved socket event handling.

Calls: added a self-hosted WebRTC engine alongside Agora; pick among multiple connected Bluetooth devices in-call; accept a call while the phone is locked (iOS); sync mute/end/sound-source with the system call screen; more reliable audio-device detection and caller-name display. Chat: new unread-counter logic, smoother message-list scrolling, bulk message delete, and several draft fixes. Contacts: confirmation modal before cancelling/accepting a request, and refreshed received-requests appearance. Other: new "you're offline" view, VPN logs export to file, and a large code cleanup/optimization pass.

Offline action queue with optimistic reactions: message reactions now apply instantly and are queued for retry when offline or on failure; the queue is persisted, resolves per-account, retries with backoff. Account switching during calls: a call-specific warning now appears before switching accounts when a private or meet call is active (switching ends the call and logs you out); fixed a nav bug that reset an already-active call, plus Sentry and meet-related fixes. VPN & UI: updated the VPN library, changed the add-contact list icon, and added a loader on the passcode screen. Messaging: moved single-message deletion to the v2 API.

Meet: Default to phone audio, mute mic/camera on join, added meeting-link modal, hidden Calendar tab, fullscreen UI, native-call sync, lobby crash fix, audio/mic/keyboard fixes, and manual meet-server selection. Contacts: New contact request flow. Chat: Fixed scrolling issue for large messages. General: Fixed several app crashes; added network error descriptions to the passcode entry screen.

Calls/Meet: fixed iOS freeze during calls, Jitsi chat issues, meeting-link display, double-tap toggle. Messaging: v2 message send + reply fix; fixed wrong draft across channels; scroll past oversized messages. Accounts/security: fixed account-switch loading & contacts clear, notification revert guard, biometry/passcode prompts on app return. Lifecycle: longer offline debounce, settings-save-on-background fix.

Real-time: the WebSocket JWT token is now retried up to 20 times on failure, so a transient token-fetch error no longer leaves the socket disconnected. Chat folders: fixed unpinning a channel from within a folder. Chat folders: reduced the folder refresh throttle from 30s → 10s, so the list updates more promptly.

Messages: on bulk read, all loaded messages up to the last read one are now correctly marked as read, not just the ones included in the event. Mentions: a mention is now cleared only for loaded, read messages — it's no longer wrongly reset for unloaded ones. Calls: on Bluetooth/wired headset disconnect, audio correctly falls back to the speaker and clears the external-device flag; a manual speaker selection is still preserved. Chat folders: topics now display more correctly in folders creation, the "channels" option is temporarily hidden.
