I loved dragon shield and got into the pattern of using it. Of course an entirely new app has to be pushed along. While there’s a lot I like about it, something as simple as a plus button to add to collection after scan makes dragon shield’s version better instantly. Having to reach up to the top of the screen is silly and I’m convinced the developers haven’t tried scanning 300 cards in a sitting to add to a bulk folder, which, the automatic dump to “All cards” versus what DS would do with allowing you to select your folder is another flaw. Take me to my folders immediately instead of making me tap 5 more times for a bulk card worth 5 cents I’m trying to catalog. 😑

This App overheats the Iphone 17 pro max very fast even when not scanning cards. I have been using this application since its release and this is a recent issue that i can’t understand. I am looking now for a new application if you can’t fix this issue as it’s not safe or acceptable. Overall the new application is not as good as the old one in my opinion. One issue when scanning or searching for a card it often won’t find the correct card but gives you all the cards it thinks it’s is like a foil basic card when looking for a SAR or Full Art. It also doesn’t find some of the new cards like the Charizard classic collection from the 30 anniversary set. I had to search and open multiple cards to eventually locate it. That’s just a bad design in a card scanner. the Also i don’t need to see Japanese versions of my English card i scanned. Another issue is when you are updating the quantity on a previous scanned card i don’t need to see all the cards that are not the one im updating that’s ridiculous. Again why show me a foil when im changing a SIR card makes zerosense as they are not the same card. More difficult to do basic things and getting card lists with images much more difficult to set and get it to stick and when scrolling through my collection it’s slow and often doesn’t load images and puts the big S over cards. I have over 3,000 cards scanned into this application to given it a fair shake but It’s pretty sad how far backwards you went with this app. The overheating you already know about because it was reported by multiple people and is the ultimate deal breaker for me as it’s not safe or good for my Iphone.

Imported account from dragon shield. The ui is an improvement but there are bugs and some features function worse than the old app. The scanner seems to work fine and having more TCG options in a single app is nice.My inventory shows duplicate cards when I scroll down the list and often fails to load at all or refreshes after I scroll down a bit. It seems like this happens when it’s trying to load the advertisements that are now shown every few rows. There are way more ads on this new application than the old one (why are there even ads in my inventory folder at all?). Some cards I searched for were not populating but this issue was present in both this app and dragon shield. For example I could not locate some of the new first partner collection cards. They have been out for a few weeks but maybe they are too new?Also you now cannot even view your inventory without an internet connection. I double checked and confirmed the old dragon shield app loaded my inventory while my phone was in airplane mode but the new app doesn’t have this feature and requires internet. I have been to several shows with bad/slow internet and it would be very convenient to still be able to look at my cards.I would also like it if the language and condition properly reflected in the price charting for each card. Maybe that can be added in a future update.I’ll check back to see how this app improves in the future and update my review as needed, but this seems like a step backwards from the old Dragon Shield app.

It’s fine if you’re just checking value of singles. But as a way of tracking your collection, it’s pretty bad. 1) It either freezes or crashes while trying to load my collection folder 2) The fact that it does not automatically group duplicates together is stupid. I have tons of boxes of cards… I don’t have them sorted physically so I don’t always know how many of each card I have. So if I’m not marking each card as different condition, it should automatically group duplicates of the same card vs making a completely separate entry 3) It’s super annoying that vintage Japanese pokemon are not in the system. Seriously thinking about canceling my membership and just going back to Collectr - I’d rather deal with slight inconsistencies with pricing than all of this.
