Read Scripture with the early Church.
Latria brings Scripture, the Church Fathers, early Christian writings, and the Ecumenical Councils together in one quiet place for reading, study, and prayer.
Rooted in the apostolic Christian tradition, Latria draws on the faith received from Christ, preached by the Apostles, and reflected on by the early Church. Latria is for Catholics, Christians from other historic apostolic traditions, and anyone who wants to encounter Scripture in conversation with the early Church. Whether you are reading privately, studying with others, or looking for a quieter way to begin the day, Latria brings Scripture, reflection, and prayer together.
Read Scripture and discover how the early Church read and understood it through the voices of some of the earliest Christian theologians and interpreters of Scripture. When a verse raises a question, explore commentary from the Church Fathers and the Catena Aurea, follow cross-references, and reflect more deeply on what you are reading.
Go beyond the Bible text alone. Encounter the Church Fathers in their own words, explore the Ecumenical Councils that shaped historic Christianity, and hear from early Christian witnesses who helped articulate, defend, and hand on the faith.
Scroll through daily Scripture passages and reflections at a slower, more prayerful pace. Turn to traditional Catholic prayers and the Scriptural Rosary when you want a guided rhythm of devotion, and save the verses, notes, and discoveries you want to return to.

I love the UI/UX of this app, it’s brilliantly designed to replace doom scrolling with something virtuous and fruitful. I love the design choices and the combining of scripture and Lectio in a single window is both clever and edifying. I recommended it to my men’s group already as well as my wife, and will continue to recommend it to anyone looking for a good faith based app!

One thing to note: the Memorare prayer currently says “despise my petitions… but in thy mercy hear and answer me.” It should say: “despise NOT my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.” Just a small issue, nothing terrible for anyone familiar with the prayer, but perhaps it might be a bigger concern for someone new to the faith.
Developer Response
Thank you for the kind review and for catching this. You were absolutely right, and it has now been fixed in the latest version of the app. I really appreciate you pointing it out, especially since accuracy matters all the more for people who may be new to the faith.
Amazing

One of the best ways to get constant wisdom from the Bible. The U.I is very clean and slick. One feature I would like if added is the ability to remove books from your feed. For example if I only want to get verses from the New Testament for a day. :)
Looking for a Way to Read the Church Fathers

This is an excellent app. A beautifully designed simple UI. I stumbled upon it looking to see if there was an app that had the writings of the Church Fathers and hit the jackpot with Latria. It is a treasure trove more should be aware of.
Expanded the Book library with major works from Clement of Alexandria, Tertullian, Origen, Eusebius, and the Shepherd of Hermas.
Added thousands of additional Church Fathers commentaries throughout Scripture, with improved links directly to their source texts.
Improved Search functionality.
Added Copy and Share buttons across the app.
Extensive textual improvements to Bible and Church library.
Refined visuals and general fixes across the app.
