There are loads of tools on this app, although I haven’t used them much so far. My favorite feature is being able to open you pattern pdf with the row counter over it. There is one thing that is missing for me that I was utilizing in another app- having a global row counter and the ability to have a secondary counter that automatically restarts when it hits a certain number. This is especially helpful for increases and decreases, so you’re not having to do the math of what row you have to get to next. And then the global counter increases each time you hit the secondary counter. That would make this app perfect for me!

This is absolutely a five star app for me. I know that overtime there will continually be improvements and fixes for different bugs, but this has been in instrumental in pulling me out of my knitting slump. I’ve tried three or four other apps since I’ve started knitting back in 2023 that didn’t have a primary focus on current projects the way that this one does. It goes row by row for your project without having to have the PDF or printed copy, pulled up at all times. It creates charts to follow and it is so integrative and customizable if you end up going off pattern. They have a dictionary, tutorials, references, etc etc. even as a self taught knitter who is exploring more advanced patterns now, I find myself utilizing nearly every feature on the app. The developer is also reachable on IG as well if you ever have an issue! I cannot wait to see the app grow and hopefully the community and marketplace features will flourish as well. They’re making knitting accessible and feel easy, I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know. If you’ve ever wanted to try knitting, this a great way to jump in for the first time🤍

I’ve been using LooseLoop exclusively since it launched, for both knitting and crochet, and it has completely replaced every other fiber arts app I’ve tried.My favorite feature is the Pattern Guide. Instead of staring at an entire pattern and trying to keep track of which row or instruction I’m on, LooseLoop organizes the pattern into sections and individual steps, then displays them one step at a time as I work. I simply move forward when I finish a step, so my place is always saved naturally as part of working through the pattern.That sounds simple, but it has completely changed how I follow complicated patterns. I don’t have to keep finding my place on a PDF, remember whether I marked a row counter, or wonder whether I already completed an instruction. I can put my project down and come back later and immediately know exactly where I am. For long, detailed crochet patterns in particular, that is invaluable.It also brings everything else I need into one place: my projects and progress, patterns, yarn stash, row counting, increase/decrease calculations, yarn substitution tools, and more. I especially appreciate that it works equally well for knitting and crochet rather than treating one as an afterthought.I’ve tried a number of knitting and crochet apps over the years. LooseLoop is by far the best fit for the way I actually craft, and the Pattern Guide alone would make it difficult for me to go back to working from patterns the old way.

First, the idea for the app is good. I like the guides showing the pattern row by row only for your size. But I have some issues. You have to pay a subscription to use the app and then pay extra to create the Smart Parser (AI) guides that break down the pattern into the rows for your specific size. The guides are the major selling point of the app. I don’t think you should have to pay extra for credits to create them. I think this main function of the app should be included as part of the subscription. Yes there is the ability to create manual guides, but it is tedious and not sure that would be worth the cost of the subscription for me.Also the app crashed 2 of the 3 times that I created my guide for the Links Cardigan/Vest which wasted 2 of the 3 included credits. Yes it’s a more complicated pattern than the Sophie Scarf they show as a sample, but the app needs to work on these patterns too. I’m not willing to pay for more credits to use on other patterns if I might lose them to crashes. The app is a good idea, but the pricing model and functionality needs more work.
