VocabLog 4.10.1 — print today's words, a better iPad experience and fixes NEW: DAILY STUDY SHEET (PRO) • Turn the words you studied today into a printable PDF: meaning, example sentence and synonyms for every word, on a VocabLog sheet with today's date. • A "Test yourself" page: fill in the gaps, write the meanings, and check the answer key. • Pick the words yourself: tap the sheet icon on any word card, in your Library or in the Dictionary. Words you studied today are added too, and you can remove any of them before you create the PDF. • Words you found tricky today are marked, so you know where to start. • Save it to Files, print it or AirDrop it — from Today on the home screen. IPAD • Use VocabLog in landscape, in Split View and in Slide Over. • Bigger word cards with larger text, a centred tab bar, two-column Practice and tidier test screens. • Keyboard shortcuts: Space flips the card, ← → move between words, R for Review, K for I know. In SRS Review, Space shows the answer and 1–4 rate it. YOUR OWN WORDS • Add a word even if it is already in VocabLog or in your list — you'll see a note, and your card keeps your own meaning. • Cards you added now have their own colour, so you can tell them apart at a glance. FIXES • A word card no longer opens a second time by itself. • The streak on the Practice screen now matches the home screen. • Choosing your level at the start shows which levels are Pro, and Skip starts you at a free level. • If the price can't load, the upgrade screen no longer shows a fixed price.

VocabLog 4.10 — synonyms, antonyms, phrasal verbs and a home screen that remembers where you are NEW: WORD PAIRS • Find Synonyms — flip a word and see its closest synonyms, picked for your level. • Find Antonyms — flip a word and find its opposite. • Phrasal Verbs — learn the phrasal verb a native speaker would use: postpone → put off, tolerate → put up with. In three bands: A1–A2, B1–B2 and C1–C2. • Free at A1–A2; every level with Pro. PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF • The home screen shows the level and the last word you looked at — one tap to continue. • Every level remembers its own place. Tap a level to open it at that word. • Recent words: go back to any card you've seen, by level — even the ones you marked "I know". • Today's goal, your streak and your reviews in one place. • The Review Log keeps your SRS Review ratings, with a tab for each level. WORD CARDS • Tap a card to see its meaning, example and synonyms before you choose Review or I know. • Bigger, clearer buttons. • After Review, the word sheet shows synonyms, opposites and phrasal verbs. Notes open only when you want one. TESTS AND SPELLING • Tests stay at the level you choose: an A1 test only uses A1–A2 words in its answers. • At A1–A2, the spelling drill shows the first letter and length of the answer, and skips words you can't spell from a hint. SETTINGS AND SYNC • Settings now holds your daily goal, pronunciation voice and speed, and Restore Purchase. • iCloud sync carries your daily goal and recent words, keeps the latest place in each level from any device, uses far less iCloud space, and tells you if iCloud storage is full. FIXES • Word of the Day only picks words from the levels you can open, with a fresh word each day. • Progress counts no longer stop growing after 200 reviewed words. • Marking a word "I know" no longer resets its review schedule. • Reset All Progress now also clears your place in each level.

VocabLog 4.9 — smarter grammar, sharper writing practice GRAMMAR • 1,450 grammar questions — 25 per topic, so reviews don't repeat the same few. • Every answer is explained, with a link straight to the rule. (Pro) • Quick check: two questions under each rule, so you practise it right after reading. (Pro) • Daily review mixes questions from every topic you've studied. Missed ones come back tomorrow; the ones you know come back later. (Pro) • New exercise — Build the sentence. Questions get harder as you learn them: choose, then type, then build. (Pro) • Learn and Practice tabs, a list of your mistakes after each quiz, and example words that match each topic's level. WRITING PRACTICE • Answers now need the form the sentence uses — "went", "goes", "teeth" — not just the dictionary word. Type the right word in the wrong form and we'll show you which form the sentence needs. FASTER AND EASIER • The app opens much faster. • Dictionary search also finds words by their meaning. • Follows your iPhone text size, with better VoiceOver support and clearer contrast. • Cards fit properly on iPhone SE and iPad. FIXES • Corrected grammar questions that had a wrong answer or more than one correct answer. • Library search and scroll position no longer reset when you remove a word. • Daily goals, streaks and reviews now start a new day at midnight in your time zone.

This update adds 2,460 new words, phrases and idioms (now 14,000+ total) and a batch of reliability improvements: • The app recovers gracefully from unexpected errors instead of showing a blank screen • New: back up your full learning progress — not just your own words — and restore it on any device • New: pick a starting level and daily word goal on first launch, with a celebration when you hit your goal • Clearer messages when something goes wrong (purchases, audio, storage) • Smoother scrolling in large word libraries • Respects Reduce Motion and works better with VoiceOver

# VocabLog v4.7.0 — Add Your Own Word Add a word you met in a book or a show to your own dictionary, and let it join the spaced-repetition cycle. The feature the paywall promised but the app never had is now real. ## New **Add your own word.** Word and meaning are required; example, level, type, deck and "where from" are optional. A saved word enters the review queue the same day. **My Words screen.** Vocabulary → My Words. Learn / Test / Write, deck filter, search, and edit or delete per word. **Decks.** A deck is free text — "Dune", "Bookclub". The deck list is derived from your words, so there is no separate deck manager to keep in sync. **Fill in from the dictionary.** If the word you type already exists in the built-in 11,756-word database, one tap fills the meaning, example, level and synonyms. It never overwrites what you already wrote. **Back up and restore.** Your words export as plain JSON to the clipboard and come back by pasting. Importing always adds and never overwrites — words you already have are skipped, so importing twice is safe. This is also how you move to a new phone. ## Free vs Pro 5 of your own words on the free plan, unlimited with Pro. The paywall comparison table now lists this row.

This update brings: • The dictionary has grown to 11,756 words, with hundreds of new synonyms and definitions added across B2, C1, C2, and foundational levels. • Dictionary search now scrolls properly through every result — previously long result lists could get cut off; now you can browse hundreds of matches smoothly. • Tap a synonym on any word card and you'll now see a "Learn this word too" button — add it to your study list in one tap. • Fixed a layout issue on iPad affecting the dictionary and level selection screens. Thanks for your feedback — keep learning!
