The recording screen got a rebuild in 2.2. Drag the playhead to any moment in a take. It lifts under your finger so you know you've got hold of it. Slow a take down to quarter speed or speed it up to double without changing its key. This works on layered takes too. Drop a marker while you listen and playback keeps going. Add a note later, like "good chorus idea" or "this is the bridge", and tap the marker to jump back to it. Markers stay on the right moment when you crop a take, and SongScribe tells you first if any would be lost. Layer, Trim, Loop and Marker now sit in one row that's always in reach. Performance Mode has a new speed rail you drag instead of tapping, and the screen stays awake while you play. Your settings now follow you between devices over iCloud. The full-screen fretboard now mirrors for left-handed players. Tap a .songscribe file in Files to open it straight in the app. Better on iPad: nothing slides under the sidebar anymore. With Lifetime, you can turn pages hands-free with a MIDI or Bluetooth footswitch, record in lossless quality, and mix your layers with a volume slider on each one and a master fader.

Chords got a rebuild in 2.1. They now have their own tab to write lyrics in one, place chords in the other. Capo support works everywhere: every diagram moves up the neck, shows where the capo sits, and names the chord you're really hearing. The picker adds 6ths, minor 6ths, half-diminished, 11ths and 13ths, remembers the fingering you picked, and mirrors for left-handed players. Behind that, a long list of corrections - fixed fingerings, accurate playback, and chord detection that now recognizes inversions like C/E. Improved the auto-scroll speed control in Performance Mode. Recording warns you before a take if the metronome or a backing track might bleed into your mic. Missing songs after upgrading from an older version? Settings > "Re-import from Previous Version".
