Frame
Display Photos. Simple.
$3.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New: pair portrait photos side by side on a landscape screen, cropped around their subject, or show only photos that match how your device is held.
Frame turns your iPhone or iPad into a beautiful digital photo frame.
Pick some photos, or a whole album, and Frame shows them the way a framer would: behind a real-looking mat, one after another, gently fading between them. Stand your device on a shelf or desk and let your memories play.
No ads. No subscriptions. No accounts. No data gathering. Your photos stay on your device. Frame does one thing: it displays your photos, beautifully.
A FRAME FOR EVERY SLIDESHOW
Each slideshow has its own look:
• Single or double mats in a choice of classic colours, with a bevelled edge and paper texture
• Whole Photo cuts the mat to each photo's shape; Fill Opening gives every photo the same window
• Captions from the Photos app, shown on the mat like a gallery label
• How long each photo shows, fade or cut, shuffle and repeat
See your changes on your own photos as you make them.
PORTRAIT AND LANDSCAPE, TOGETHER
Portrait photos on a landscape screen no longer leave a sea of empty mat. Frame can pair two of them side by side in one mat, each cropped around its subject so faces stay in view. Or show only the photos that match how your device is held, and turn it to see the rest.
ALBUMS THAT KEEP UP
Make a slideshow from an album and it stays in sync as you add photos in the Photos app.
MADE FOR iPHONE DUO
Stand iPhone Duo up like a book and each half becomes its own framed print. Fold it like a laptop and the top half is the frame, with controls on the half lying flat.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
• Swipe to change photos, press and hold to pause on one
• Swipe up to switch slideshows without leaving the frame
• Keeps the screen awake while showing, with an optional dimmed brightness for evenings
• Feature a favourite slideshow to start it the moment Frame opens
Select a few photos and go. That's Frame.

Frame 2.0 is a complete redesign. Your photos, framed like fine art.
• Every slideshow now has its own frame — mat colour, single or double mat, width, caption and timing — edited live with your own photos.
• In "Whole Photo" mode the mat is cut to the shape of each photo, just as a framer would.
• Portrait photos on a landscape screen (or the reverse) can now be paired side by side in one mat, each cropped around its subject. Or show only the photos that match how your device is held.
• Captions written in the Photos app appear on the mat like a gallery label.
• A new Home shows each slideshow in its frame. One tap to play.
• Nothing but the photo while playing: swipe to move between photos, press and hold to linger, tap for the back button, and swipe up to switch slideshows.
• Choose a slideshow to show the moment Frame opens.
• Made for iPhone Duo: stand it up like a book and Frame shows two framed photos side by side; fold it like a laptop and the photo stands on top while controls sit below.
• Redesigned for iPhone and iPad, with improved accessibility and updated German, French, Italian and Spanish.
Your existing slideshows and settings come across automatically.
