HamFinder is a simple daily utility for U.S. amateur radio operators. Look up a callsign, read its public FCC license details, and keep useful operator profiles close at hand.
Search and profiles
- Look up U.S. callsigns using CALLOOK.
- View the operator name, license class, grid square, mailing address, and license dates when available.
- Open the public FCC record or QRZ profile.
- Copy a callsign, share a profile summary, or open the location in Apple Maps.
Your contacts
- Save operator profiles for future reference.
- Add private notes and tags directly on an operator profile.
- Search saved contacts by callsign, name, notes, or tags.
- See saved FCC mailing locations on a contact map.
iOS conveniences
- Find saved contacts through Spotlight.
- Use the Open Callsign and Operator Name actions in Shortcuts.
- Add a configurable Quick Callsign Home Screen widget for one-tap lookup.
- Enjoy a clear search bar in both light and dark mode.
Saved profiles and notes remain on your device. A network connection is needed for new lookups, address resolution, and map imagery. No account, radio hardware, subscription, or in-app purchase is required.
HamFinder uses public FCC records supplied by CALLOOK and is not affiliated with the FCC. Displayed locations are FCC mailing locations and may not be an operator's actual station or current position. Requires iOS 26 or later.

- Retry address lookups when a location is unavailable.
- Keep the original simple search page, with clearer dark-mode visibility.
- Editing or clearing a search now cancels the pending lookup and prevents old results from opening.
