NO MORE BETS is a blocking app that connects a person who wants to stop gambling with a family member or partner who wants to support them. Using iPhone's Screen Time, it keeps gambling apps and sites from opening — a moment to pause when an urge hits, like on a sleepless night or on payday.
Struggling to stop is not about weak willpower. You don't have to do this alone.
■ What you can block
Online casinos, sports betting, poker and slot apps, race betting apps and sites, online lottery, and more. You choose what to block.
■ For the person who wants to stop
- Block gambling apps and websites (during a block, the apps you chose are also hidden from the Home Screen)
- Write promises (why you want to stop, what you agreed with whom) and share them with your partner
- See how many days your block has lasted
- Unlocking: when paired, ask your partner. On your own, the block lifts after the number of days you chose (cool time). You can extend that period during a block, but not shorten it
■ For family and partners
- Pair with a 6-digit code or an invite link
- Check anytime that the block is on and Screen Time permission is granted
- Always get notified when the permission is turned off, an unlock is requested, or the account signs in on another device
- A daily report at 8 p.m. (Japan time)
- Add sites to their block list, reply to promises, send encouragement
If protection was interrupted, you'll see when. That knowledge is what helps in a moment of doubt.
■ Free and Premium
Blocking, pairing, notifications, daily reports and promises are free. No ads.
Premium (yearly, auto-renewing; ¥2,000 in Japan) adds Unlock Restriction: while it is on, the block can't be turned off by your own action alone. It lifts when your partner approves or your chosen period ends. Cool time can also be set up to 365 days (90 on the free plan).
■ About Screen Time
- Blocking uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) permission
- You pick apps in Apple's own picker; by design, NO MORE BETS can't read their names
- During a block, no apps on your iPhone can be deleted, so this app can't be removed (Apple applies this setting to all apps at once). It returns to normal when the block ends
■ Your data
Sent (to keep your partner informed): account, block status, registered sites and apps (apps only as anonymous tokens), promises, whether Screen Time permission is on, device model, and a regular "still running" signal.
Not sent: screen contents, what you type, sites you visit, block counts, location.

Q. What can my partner see?
A. Block status, Screen Time permission, when protection was interrupted, your registered sites and promises. Not your browsing, your screen or your location.
Q. Can I unlock it myself?
A. When paired, you ask your partner; on your own, the block lifts after your chosen period. For a block you can't turn off by yourself, turn on Unlock Restriction (Premium).
Q. Does my supporter need an iPhone?
A. No. Your supporter can use any type of smartphone.
Q. Can I use it without a partner?
A. Yes, with cool time. You can even start as a guest (pairing and Premium need an account).
