Setting up is simpler: you now choose the apps to block right at the start, and the app opens straight into your free plan. Plans are offered later, once you've reached your first step goal.

Three fixes on the plans screen. If a purchase is waiting for a parent's approval, or purchases are turned off on your iPhone, the app now says so instead of "Error". The free week is checked with Apple directly, so it shows for everyone who has it. And the button always says exactly what it does.

You can now write to us from inside the app: Profile → Help & feedback. A person reads every message, and if you're offline it waits and sends when you're back. The Scan tab now appears only for Premium members, so the tab bar shows what you can use.

If you ever tapped "Don't Allow" on the Screen Time prompt, the app used to offer you the same button again — and iOS never shows that prompt twice, so nothing happened. Step N Scroll now recognises that and tells you where to turn it back on instead.

After choosing a plan you land on App Blocking, ready to pick your apps. Streak freezes now grow back: one for every seventh day you keep your streak. Home tells you how last week went. Award medals catch the light as you tilt your phone. Small fixes and polish.

Reopening the app from the plans screen now takes you straight in. If Screen Time isn't allowed during setup, you can switch blocking on right there instead of finding out later. Setup now asks about notifications too, so reminders can actually reach you, and it no longer repeats the permissions screen at the end. Skip the name step if you like, a clearer message when plans can't load, and the step ring and week chart now open your stats.

Small under-the-hood improvements to how the app understands your setup, so we can keep making it simpler.

Choosing an accent colour now changes the whole app. Roughly half of it stayed blue whatever you picked — the buttons, the links, the setup screens. Green is also the colour the app starts in now. There are three widgets instead of one: your steps, your streak on its own, and whether your blocked apps are currently locked. All three work on the Lock Screen. Stats works. The month view drew nothing at all and the card above it read "0 steps this month"; the week arrows moved the data while the heading stayed on the month name. The forward arrow no longer walks into weeks that have not happened. Calories now come from the energy your phone actually measured, rather than an estimate made from your step count — so the number here matches Health instead of disagreeing with it. The ring stops. Meeting your goal set it spinning for the rest of the day; it celebrates for a few seconds and then rests. Switching between steps and active energy is animated rather than jumping. Cards on the home screen that looked tappable now open something. The one telling you how many apps are blocked was not a button at all. Badges and streaks are worked out against the goal you had on each day, so lowering your goal no longer rewrites your past. The emergency unlock no longer counts down twice.

The subscription screen now tells you what you are agreeing to before you agree to it: that the first 7 days are free, the exact date your card would be charged, the price, and how to cancel. Previously it mentioned none of this. Closing that screen also used to register as several separate taps, which is fixed.

The subscription screen used to draw itself before your plans had finished loading — which meant it could show a buy button that did nothing, or flash "plans couldn't load" for plans that arrived a moment later. It now waits and shows a loading state, so whatever you tap is the real thing.

Housekeeping, mostly invisible but worth doing: the privacy policy link on the subscription screen now points to our own policy at stepnscroll.app instead of an outdated page, and we removed an analytics component the app no longer uses.

Your block list now names what you actually blocked — the individual apps, the whole categories, and the websites — instead of showing an empty list over a shield that was working the whole time. Clearing it takes one tap. This release also turns on proper crash and error reporting, so faults surface and get fixed rather than going unnoticed.

Your blocked list now shows everything you blocked. If you picked whole categories — Social, Games, or "All Apps & Categories" — they were blocked correctly but the list looked empty. Categories and websites now appear alongside individual apps, and each is named for what it actually is rather than counted as an app. Clearing your list works. Unticking everything now removes the blocks, instead of quietly leaving them in place. Free trials are only offered when you can actually get one. Apple gives each Apple ID one trial per app, so if you have already used yours the paywall shows the plain price rather than promising a trial you would not receive. The name step no longer blocks you — leaving it empty and continuing is fine.

You can now sign out from your Profile. Signing out returns you to the start with a fresh account on this device, so you can set your goal and blocked apps again from scratch. Your subscription is not cancelled — you manage that in Settings, as always. Also fixed: the Scan tab could fail to lay out correctly on the yearly plan, and your scan allowance now names the period it actually covers.

The paywall now shows your free trial up front, so you can see exactly what you are starting before you commit. Your monthly stats are a real calendar again - days line up under the weekday they actually fall on, and days that have not happened yet no longer show a zero. The progress ring's marker now sits exactly on the ring, and step counts fit their day cells instead of being cut off.

Coach now steps in on its own. When you reach for a blocked app several times in a few minutes, it interrupts, asks what is going on, and offers a short reset instead of the feed. Your scan history is now a real before-and-after: every past scan shows the photo you started from next to the result, with the date it was taken, and you can save or share any of them again.

Fixed an issue that could prevent AI progress scans from unlocking for subscribers. Purchases and restores are more reliable, plus performance and stability improvements throughout the app.
