Outernet is creating a new type of internet use, in which our phones serve as a map of IRL exploration that gets us outside, instead of keeping us stuck scrolling indoors.
Outernet helps you save and organize the places/events you want to check out, so it’s easy to actually go! You can share any place/event to Outernet (via social media links, website URLs, screenshots, or pictures), and we’ll do the research, summarize what you need to know, and organize your plans so it’s easy to actually go. And as you complete your saved adventures, you collect stamps!
When you’re on the Outernet, you can:
- Actually remember to check out that cool pop-up, arts festival, woodworking class, etc.
- Create a collection of trinket box locations or top coffee shops in your city, then check each off as you explore it
- Plan date nights that’ll blow your partner’s socks clean off
- Organize family days that both the kiddos and adults enjoy
- Easily create itineraries for your vacations (both in the books and aspirational)
- And most of all, spend more time outside doing things, instead of just being online watching them!

Best way to keep track of all the places you want to go

This app is actually phenomenal. I used to save or screenshot so many places only to forget and never go to them, but with outernet, now they’re on my map, and I have details and information about them that I wouldn’t have otherwise and I can actually go and enjoy, and not only that, if I’m traveling, this app can help me navigate the most efficient path to all of the places I want to see or go to. I’ve been using the app for a number of weeks now and am thoroughly enjoying collecting places to go. Gone are the days of collecting thousands of videos and screenshots only to never look at them again. I cannot recommend this app enough!

So easy to save ideas of where to go and what to do from across multiple platforms! I use it locally and when I travel. So easy to just open it up and get the info I need, wherever I’m at in the world. Saving ideas, off of TikTok especially, can get overwhelming since it’s just an info dump, but outernet collects it all with just the click of a button, and I don’t have to think about it again until I want it. The staff are super helpful with any questions or suggestions. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a way to save ideas for experiences with family and friends.

These days i cant help but save every place i see thats close by, wether its tiktok or instagram or online searches. And my main place to put them is by hand into a google excel document that has 10% of the needed information to plan a day around. And then i found outernet. This app is a god send, saving 10’s of hours of logging everything you find and adding relevant details. Instead, you just share it through the social media itself and bing, bang, boom. All of it is right there. Hours, location, relevant facts. I am lucky i got into the beta version, and will never, ever look back. 10 out of 5 stars.

Outernet is genuinely one of the coolest and most useful apps I’ve downloaded in a long time. The concept is so simple but executed incredibly well. Being able to see a cool place, restaurant, event, or hidden gem online and instantly save it, map it, and get details all in one place is honestly a game changer.The UI is clean, intuitive, and doesn’t feel bloated like so many apps do now. It turns random scrolling into actual exploration and travel plans. You can tell a lot of thought went into the user experience.Huge props to the developers because this app feels like something people are going to wonder how they lived without.
