MUTARA: Gym Workout Tracker
Routine planner & lifting log
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases
Train with method. Progress with data.
MUTARA is the precision workout tracker that takes the guesswork out of the gym. Log weight, reps and RIR in seconds, and let the app tell you exactly when to add weight, hold, or deload.
FOR SERIOUS LIFTERS
• Smart Load: analyzes your past sets and suggests the ideal weight for your next one.
• Traffic-Light progression: visual cues that tell you when to add load, hold intensity, or schedule a deload.
• Adaptive Rest: timers adjust to the real demand of each set, so quality never drops.
FOR BEGINNERS
• A library of routines that actually work: Full Body, PPL, Arnold Split and more.
• Already have a routine in text? Import it with AI and start logging instantly.
• Your routines stop being static logs and become a living map of your progress.
FOR COACHES
• Manage all your clients from one place.
• Assign custom routines instantly with QR codes.
• Track each athlete's volume and consistency, add technical notes, and give direct feedback.
Less friction to log. More clarity to decide. Better adherence to progress.

more New exercise cards: cleaner, with the current set clearly marked and, once you finish an exercise, the recommended weight for your next session.
Each exercise sheet now shows an illustration of the muscles it works.
Plus improvements to the subscription screen and minor fixes.
3.0.17 1d ago
Three fixes you'll notice day to day.
• A finished exercise card keeps its "Last" line and its "Next" advice when you reopen the app. It could go blank before.
• If you reset the week and log sets again that same day, they now show and count. They could stay hidden after reopening, even though they were saved.
• Exercises you create yourself are classified as isolation or compound automatically, so intensity warnings reach the right ones.
And two new things:
• Profile → Training → Full Data Backup: you can now export your whole history to a file.
• If your ranking identity lives only on this iPhone, the app will offer once to link it to your Apple account, so your alias, friends and XP follow you to any device. Optional, and it changes nothing else.
3.0.16 Oct 21
Smarter, more honest load suggestions.
• When you finish an exercise, the recommendation for next session no longer comes from your most fatigued set. If you hit the rep range at a given load, that's your working load - even if you dropped the weight afterwards.
• Once a card is complete, the advice is tagged "Next" so it's clear it's about your next session, not today.
• Falling well short of the rep range now triggers a proportional adjustment - no more token half-kilo cuts when you were three reps away.
• Suggested RIR stops asking for the impossible: if you already hit failure at that weight today, it won't ask you to leave two in reserve.
• The "rapid progress" warning now only appears if you actually increased the load, not for doing more reps at the same weight.
The Sunday weekly summary now carries your actual numbers - workouts, sets and volume - and takes you straight to the detail in History. If you didn't train that week, it stays quiet.
3.0.15 Oct 19
• Suggestions follow your reps: if you hit the range, the weight doesn't drop, and when you reach the top of the range it goes up, whatever RIR you log. Before, training to failure could make the app lower your weight after a good set.
• Between sets, the load adjustment uses the same RIR the header asks for, and if you load more and get the reps, the next sets ask for that weight and those reps.
• Exercise alerts are now aligned with your last-session line.
• Friend activity no longer shows nameless notifications.
3.0.14 Oct 12
• Weight suggestions you can trust: the exercise header and the grey numbers in each set always match, and data from another exercise with the same name no longer sneaks in.
• Machine taken? Tap the swap icon and pick another exercise in a second — today only, no questions asked. Sets you've already done stay where they are, and while choosing you see what you lifted last time with each alternative.
• The card is easier to read: your last session up front, and a single cue telling you whether to go up or down, and by how much.
• Exercise notes: a clear button with undo, and closing a note no longer deletes it.
• Rest timer in the Dynamic Island: the time now shows in the compact view too, and the expanded view has been rebuilt.
• Accessibility and contrast improvements, and support for iOS 27.
3.0.13 Sep 21
• The leaderboard is whole again: everyone who chose to appear is there, with gold, silver and bronze medals, your adherence label and targets set to your own pace.
• Your gym is no longer published down to the street. The area leaderboard works just the same, without pointing at where you train.
• XP rewards what actually costs you: a personal record is worth more than a cardio day, and extra days no longer score zero — they score half. And you lose nothing you have already earned: the new rules only count from now on.
• Rest timer: alerts fire when they should, you get a heads-up if your volume is very low or the sound is going to headphones, and no more ghost timers on the lock screen.
• Fixed: an out-of-range RIR could inflate your suggested weight; the deload alert repeated every day and now arrives once and offers to schedule it; and the routine screen reaches the bottom edge.
3.0.12 Sep 15
• The suggested weight now progresses the way it should: it holds the load while your reps go up, and only moves up once you hit the top of your range. Before, it dropped your weight for no good reason.
• Tap the target line and it tells you why that weight today, and where you are inside your range.
• Closing a set is one tap: hit the circle and the suggested values are confirmed, no keyboard needed.
• Cleaner exercise card: less text, and the KG/Reps/RIR columns back where they belong, right above your sets.
• Fixed: time-based exercises showed two headers, and some sets unchecked themselves.
3.0.11 Sep 10
• 15 new achievements you can actually earn: workout, set, tonnage and consistency milestones — up to the Million Club (1,000,000 kg lifted).
• Fixed birthday, weekly and monthly achievements: if you earned them, they unlock when you update.
• New muscle groups: Lower back and Abductors. And "Core" is now labeled Abs.
• Your weekly cardio shows up in Volume, with the recommended range so it never compromises your gains.
• The "Last time" reference now shows your full top set: weight × reps @ RIR.
• Deload week announces itself, explains why, and can be skipped by tapping its chip. And if we detect fatigue, we ask before changing your plan.
3.0.10 Sep 2
For coaches:
• New 10-client plan, easier to start with, plus yearly plans on every tier.
• 14-day free trial on all coach plans.
• You can now manage clients who don't use the app: create their profile and keep their log yourself. Perfect if your clients aren't on iPhone.
• Log any client's workout by hand from their profile.
3.0.9 Aug 30
• Your last session's weight now shows as a gray suggestion: it's logged when you complete the set, no more deleting numbers you didn't type.
• Fixed: after completing a set, the keyboard would freeze and block typing in the next one.
• The skip-day options (Rest, I'm injured) are back in the day menu.
• Fixed: logging a past workout did nothing if that day already existed.
• Fixed: assigning a routine to a client could open a gray screen.
3.0.8 Aug 28
Fixed a bug that sometimes stopped you from typing a set's weight: you tapped the field, the keyboard came up and nothing went in. With sets you couldn't log, the day wasn't marked as completed either.
If you train with a coach: the routines they assign you arrive again, and unlinking works properly.
Also: an exercise's starting weight is saved correctly if you use pounds, and your history is kept when you rename or duplicate exercises. The app now warns you before changes that affect your records.
3.0.7 Aug 26
If you train and also coach, Friends and the ranking are within reach again: the social hub no longer disappears when your coach plan is active. Your gym ranking now widens to your area (~15 km) when there still aren't many people nearby, and tells you when it does, so the list never comes up empty. New cycle indicator in the day header: you can see which cycle you're on, and it lets you know when a new one begins, so going back to Day 1 doesn't catch you off guard. Plus fixes: the cycle was being marked complete using days trained weeks earlier, which sent you back to Day 1 for no reason; the first card of the day is no longer hidden behind the header; and the app version is visible again in your profile whenever you need to check it. And we've rebuilt the welcome screen: you now start training in one tap, with nothing to choose and no account to create.
3.0.6 Aug 24
Redesigned rest timer on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island: add +30s or skip the rest without opening the app, with a progress bar and an alert when time is up. Revamped 6-week mesocycle: reliable week tracking, a manual block restart, and an automatic deload when a plateau is detected. Cycle-aware training: your target RIR adapts to your phase, shown transparently on each exercise. Your weekly streak now shows on your ranking card, and you can hide your profile from the ranking whenever you want. Routine covers now match your profile, and you can share routines without scanning a QR code. Plus fixes: streak achievements can no longer be lost, deleted routines no longer reappear, today's sets always show as completed, removed a freeze when logging the first set of a workout, fixed the blank card when editing a routine, and content reaches the bottom edge of the screen again. Plus a refreshed Friends tab: requests with photos, a cancellable sent-requests list, notifications when you receive a request or get accepted, and rush mode now persists between sessions.
