You can read a language for years and still freeze the second someone actually talks to you. OneShado is built for that exact moment.
Instead of flashcards and grammar tables, you shadow real conversations. You hear a native speaker say a line, you see what it means, and you say it back. Again if you need to. Slower if you need to. It's the way interpreters train, and it works because your ears and your mouth get better at the same time.
How the practice goes:
Pick a situation, like ordering a coffee or getting through a job interview. Listen one sentence at a time, with the translation right there. Say it back after the audio. Loop the lines that trip you up, or hide the text and check whether you really caught it. When a sentence confuses you, ask the built-in AI. When you want to actually talk, take a role in the dialogue and play it out with the AI.
What's inside:
• Seven languages so far: English, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French. We keep adding.
• Dialogues pulled from real situations, sorted into courses so you're never guessing what to do next.
• A player made for practice: single-line loops, speed control, auto-pause, subtitles you can hide, plus pinyin for Chinese and furigana for Japanese.
• Blind listening: text off, ears on.
• AI role-play: your recordings stay on your phone, nobody else hears them.
• An AI that answers on the spot, whether it's grammar, slang, or "why do they say it like that."
• Your own audio: drop in a podcast or a clip and it splits it into sentences and adds the translation.
• Listening-time stats, because watching the streak add up makes it easier to keep going.
Who it's for:
People starting from zero who want to build an ear early. People who read fine but seize up the moment they have to speak. Anyone with a trip, a job, or an exam coming up who needs the words to actually come out.
We think you learn a language by listening to it and speaking it, not by memorizing rules for a test. Beginner or almost fluent, we want the time you put in to actually pay off.
