Notes now line up on the staff and scroll left as you answer, so you read ahead just like you do with real sheet music. The whole app has a new look, too. Fuyomin trains one thing, and trains it well: your ability to read sheet music. ■ Real staff notation, not a simplified stand-in. The thing we care about most is that every question is drawn on a proper staff, exactly as it appears in real sheet music — note positions, ledger lines, key signatures, and the way chord noteheads line up. Nothing is replaced with icons or simplified shapes. That means the notes you learn to recognize here are the same notes you'll read on the page in front of you. It plays like a game; what you take away is genuine sight-reading ability. ■ The staff moves. Notes don't appear one at a time. They line up across the staff the way they do in real music. Answer the note in the middle and the whole staff scrolls left, bringing the next note to the center. When you read music, your eyes stay slightly ahead of the note you're playing. Reading a staff that keeps moving lets you practise with that same habit. A session can be completed in as few as 10 questions, so it fits before a lesson or on the way to work. ■ Treble and bass clef Both clefs are supported. Choose a range that matches your level, from notes that stay inside the staff to the full range with ledger lines. ■ Chord training (2, 3 and 4 notes) From two-note intervals to seventh chords. Chords that actually appear in real music show up more often, so what you practice is what you'll meet on the page. You can also pick the range: no ledger lines, standard, or full. ■ Key signatures Practice in sharp and flat keys — preparation for playing real pieces. ■ Weak point mode Notes you keep missing come up more often, so you can clear your weak spots efficiently. There is only a soft band behind the center and a lighter shade on the notes still to come, so the staff still looks like real sheet music. ■ A new look ・The whole app has been redesigned around the idea of paper laid out on a desk.
