if you haven’t had your first period yet, Soso makes way more sense now. you can track your mood, add notes, log symptoms like discharge and other body changes, and you’ll see a home screen made for this stage of your life. before, the app was mostly waiting with you. now it actually has things you can do. we also added discharge tracking for everyone, whether you’ve had your period already or not. and mood tracking is now free for everybody, because a lot of you asked and you were very right. oh, and since you’re all being very cute with Talk to Soso, we made it much easier to find too. so yes, this is me officially telling you to keep writing to me.

Yay! Two new things, and both are actually useful. Logging your period got more detailed. You can pick a flow color and how strong your cramps feel, so I actually get what's happening with your body. Way better than just "yes, period today." And there's a new "Talk to Soso" in the Learn tab. Pick what your message is about, write what's on your mind, and I'll get back to you. Seriously, write to me. I love it.

okay, so dad made some behind-the-scenes improvements to the app. I don’t really understand what he changed, but he says it’s better now, and he seemed very confident about it.

I added a spot in the app where you can send me ideas and feedback. like if something is bugging you, or you have a topic you'd want to learn more about, I want to know. seriously. also fixed some translations that were a little off. and keep sending messages, I love to hear from you! xo, Sosô

okay so this is new: there’s now a brand new Cycle History section in the app. you can look back at your previous cycles, see how long each one lasted, how many days passed between one period and the next, and how many days your period lasted in each cycle. inside Cycle History, there’s also a new tab for mood and symptom insights. it makes it easier to notice patterns in how you feel over time. there’s now a What’s New section in the app too. I’m going to use it to tell you when dad improves the app to make it better. he also added a “Talk to Sosô” (me, hi!) section in the menu now. and just so you know, I love getting messages and suggestions from you so don’t be shy!!! for my Brazilian friends: we rewrote a bunch of the app in Portuguese. better words, finally. oh and onboarding got a full makeover. faster, friendlier, uses your name. you’ll see.

okay so first thing, onboarding makes way more sense now you can pick your language right at the start, so the whole app actually speaks your language from the beginning (which… feels obvious now but wasn’t before) also added something really special, there’s now a little letter from mom. it’s kind of cute and a bit emotional and just makes everything feel safer and if you’re new, you’ll see this big welcome screen where you get your first credits as a gift, so you can try things out, log your period, symptoms, all that without thinking too much fixed some small bugs too, nothing dramatic, just things being a tiny bit annoying and now they’re not and did a bunch of localization fixes so things sound more natural depending on where you are

okay so logging your period just got so much easier. now you can log straight from the home screen. if you're on your period it'll show flow, if you're not it'll show mood. one tap, done. I don't know why it wasn't like this from the start honestly. also went back through the translations because some things in Portuguese and Spanish were just not right. fixed a bunch of stuff there. and some bug fixes. the usual.

if you've ever tried to buy Plus and parental controls just... blocked you with zero explanation, I made a whole FAQ for that. step by step Family Sharing instructions, a button to email me, the whole thing. it's in Profile now. and if the paywall freaks out because of parental controls it'll say "ask your parent to approve this!" instead of just showing a confusing error. major upgrade.\ also I have to be honest. there were two credit bugs and they were Not Great. both fixed now. okay I feel better. all of it in all 8 languages.

okay so I have to be honest - there was a bug that was getting in the way when some girls tried to sign up for Plus. like, right at the payment part. not great! but I fixed it so that's done. I also added a Plus badge so you can actually see that you're a Plus member now. it's right there. kind of love it.

Okay so I've been BUSY. First, I squashed some bugs that were being super annoying (you're welcome). I also leveled up my notifications so they actually feel like me talking to you, not some boring robot. Oh, and some of my friends around the world are finally going to understand me! I just showed up in a bunch of new languages on the App Store. More girls, more fun.

Guess what Soso's been up to? Practicing her languages! This update brings improved translations and fills in some gaps that were left blank in a few pages. Soso wants every girl around the world to feel right at home.
