QUESTIONS THAT EXPLAIN THEMSELVES
Seventeen quizzes span the four levels, and every one of the 2,428 questions carries a written explanation. A wrong answer teaches you something instead of just costing you a point.
Each sitting draws twenty questions from the pool, so a retake is a genuinely new set and not the same list in the same order.
The quizzes follow the shape of the syllabus:
Level 1: wine fundamentals, principal grape varieties, storage and service
Level 2: viticulture and vinification, white varieties, red varieties, sparkling and fortified wines
Level 3: viticulture and vinification, France, Italy and Spain and Portugal, the New World, sparkling and fortified wines
Diploma: wine production, the wine business, wines of the world, sparkling wines, fortified wines

Cards you know come back later. Cards you miss come back sooner. The interval is set by the SM-2 spaced repetition algorithm, so your study time goes where your memory is weakest rather than where you feel like starting.

148 varieties, each with its tasting profile drawn as a band on the WSET scales rather than a single point, which is how an exam answer is phrased. Planting areas come from the Anderson database of world grape plantings, not from an estimate. Put any two varieties side by side to see where they actually differ.
BUILD THE QUIZ YOU NEED
Choose a level, tick the topics you want, set the length, and start. Turn on Practice Mistakes and the session contains only questions you have answered wrongly before. Weak Areas keeps track of which topics those are.
