Gnash helps you quit smoking, stop vaping, or ditch snus — and actually enjoy the process. No streaks to protect. No guilt when you slip. Just a growing pile of balls that makes your progress feel real.
GRADUAL REDUCTION
Set your pace and let the timer guide each break. Hit your target, and the next one grows a little longer. No pressure, no shame — just gradual change that compounds over time.
VISUAL PROGRESS
Every break spawns a ball. Hit your target and it turns green. Miss it, and it's gray — no judgment, just honesty. They pile up, bounce around, and respond to your touch. Tilt your phone and they tumble. It's your effort made physical — something you can poke, prod, and watch grow.
BUILD AWARENESS
Track nicotine use in a few taps. Reflect on difficulty, what triggered you, and what helped. Add notes for anything you want to remember. Patterns emerge over time — without judgment or streaks.
STAY ON TRACK
Follow your break timer from the Lock Screen, Home Screen, Dynamic Island, or Control Center. Live Activities keep your progress visible without opening the app.
COMPLETELY PRIVATE
No accounts. No data collection. Everything stays on your device and works fully offline. iCloud Backup available for peace of mind.

Absolutely love this app and I’ve been looking for something like it for months! Actually free and is nicotine cessation friendly. One feature I’d like is for push notifications. Other than that thank you for this app!
Developer Response
This means a lot—thank you 🙌I’m so happy to hear that the method works and brings you value! The next update will include many refinements, bug fixes, and improvements to the existing features. I’m still working on finalizing it.However, the update after that will include something better than push notifications to help guide nicotine use outside the app, which I haven’t seen any other quit apps provide. I’m really excited to hear what you think.Feel free to reach out if you’d like to beta test the new features. Thanks again for the kind words and for being here early. It truly helps.
Can’t add custom triggers
Walt Whispers
There seems to be a bug that prevents me from being able to add custom triggers. Other than that, I really appreciate the simplicity of the gamification. Simple, but so far, it seems to be helping. Here’s to seeing where this goes.
Developer Response
Thanks for the review and bringing this to my attention! And those kind words about the simplicity. 😇I’m so sorry for any trouble with the custom triggers. I’ve been putting in a lot of effort to fix that, along with a few other things. The next update will be much better tested and more reliable.
Quitting is easier when you're not doing it alone. Say hi to Hangout — a new community space inside Gnash where you can share progress, swap tips, and root for others on the same path. No accounts, no tracking, completely anonymous.
