1.3.5 — Apple TV Media tab, Mac uploads, mirrored sync, and security fixes • Apple TV: a new Media tab for your shows, films and music, with Continue Watching. • Apple TV: films no longer close the app part-way through, and a dropped stream reconnects. • Internxt accounts with two-factor sign-in stay signed in. • Mac: Upload from the ⋯ menu works again. • Mac: Share → JRDrive from Finder uploads the file itself, with its own name. • Mac: drag files anywhere onto the window to upload them to the folder you're viewing. • Uploads never overwrite: a file with the same name is saved as "Name (1)". • Sync: new "Mirror deletions" option for one-way jobs — files deleted from the source move to the destination's trash. • Sync: version history and mirror deletions now work with server and cloud destinations. • Security: PIN-protected remotes stay locked everywhere — the Files app, shortcuts and aliases to them — and lock again a few minutes after you leave JRDrive. • Camera upload never overwrites a photo that has the same name as another. • Many reliability fixes across playback, the Files app and transfers.

1.3.4 — Mac keyboard control, Picture in Picture, and a security fix • Mac: browse the whole app with the keyboard. Arrow keys move a highlight, Return opens, Backspace goes back, and ⌘1–⌘9 switch tabs. • Mac: Picture in Picture now plays smoothly instead of freezing. • Mac: Escape takes a full-screen video back to its window, and it keeps playing. • Security: PIN-protected remotes now always ask for the PIN, including files opened from Recents, Favorites and Offline. • Swiping to delete a remote or sync job now always removes the one you swiped. • Entering a remote's PIN opens it on the first try. • Movie and show pages show their artwork without filling the screen. • Transfer and sync scheduling settings are now saved. • Files saved for offline now play straight from your device, and files with very long paths can be saved too. • Apple TV: opening a damaged or misnamed PDF no longer closes the app.

1.3.3 — Transfers, resume, and a security update • You can now see your transfers. There's a Transfers tab showing what's active, queued and finished — previously there was no way to open that screen at all. • Video and audio resume where you left off again. The position was being saved but not restored when playing from a remote. • Updated the built-in playback engine to its latest security release, which fixes several flaws in handling malformed media files. • Apple TV: the fixes from 1.3.2 for setting up providers like Uloz.to, and for repairing a remote that synced without its password.

1.3.1 — Please update: two fixes that protect your files • Important if you use iCloud sync. Opening JRDrive on a device that had iCloud sync turned off could remove your saved remote passwords from your other devices. This was most likely to happen on an Apple TV. Fixed — turning sync off now only affects that device. • Important if you use two-way sync. If a run was interrupted — cancelled, paused, or stalled — the next one could overwrite files you had edited locally and bring back files you had deleted. Fixed: it now picks up from the last good state. • Excluded files are excluded everywhere. Rules like .DS_Store only applied at the top of a sync folder — they now apply throughout. • You can now copy and move folders, not just files, including between remotes. • "Max Speed" on a sync job now actually limits the speed. • Automatic syncs no longer run more often than intended, and a failing job backs off instead of retrying every few seconds. Better for battery and data. • Apple TV: encrypted remotes open. If the password isn't on the device, JRDrive now asks for it. • Scan Local Network fills in the new remote's details for you, on every platform. • Opening a remote no longer stalls while another one is still loading. • Video speed now goes much further both ways — as slow as 0.03x and as fast as 8x. • Two-factor sign-in now works for Seafile, Internxt and iCloud Drive — JRDrive asks for your code during setup instead of stopping without explanation. • Updated the built-in rclone engine, which includes security fixes. • If a remote's sign-in expires, press and hold it on the Remotes screen and choose "Sign In Again" — no need to delete and re-add it. • Mac: Command-S saves while editing a file, and Add Remote marks which fields are required. • Fixed a crash when skipping tracks while a video was still buffering.

1.3.0 — Smoother streaming, safer iCloud • Important fix if you sync your remote list via iCloud. Turning the setting off on one device, or restoring a device that hadn't finished setting up, could remove remotes from your other devices. That can no longer happen, and deleted remotes stay deleted. Please update. • Video streams far more smoothly. JRDrive keeps a rolling piece of what you're watching on disk, so skipping back replays instantly and pausing keeps buffering instead of throwing away what it had. Set how far ahead to buffer in Settings. • Double-tap the left or right side of a video to skip 10 seconds. Keep tapping to keep skipping — 10, 20, 30. Double-tap the middle for zoom, as before. • Mac: portrait videos recorded on a phone now turn the right way up on their own. • Fixed a hang: pressing next/previous quickly could freeze the app. • The next video is now the next one on file browser, and next/previous always start playing. • Keyboard: N and P for next and previous, SHIFT+arrows for a fine seek, and every shortcut is listed in Settings › Keyboard. • Copy and Move: the folder picker shows your folders instead of appearing empty, and says what went wrong if a remote is unreachable. • Right-click any file — including on search results, Recents, Favorites — for the full context menu. Search results add "Go to Location"; Back returns you to your results. • The media library now scans gradually in the background, a folder at a time, so it never slows the app or your machine down — and it shows real progress and picks up where it left off if you pause it. • Mac: choosing a sync folder now keeps its permission properly, so sync no longer loses access to it after you quit. • Setting up a sync now warns you if a job would cover an entire remote instead of a folder. • The playback settings panel stays open while you're using a slider. • Sync: an offline remote now fails quickly and says why instead of spinning, progress is correct when several jobs run at once, and a frozen sync is stopped instead of running forever.

1.2.0 — Better picture, smoother playback • Auto-tune the picture (Experimental). Tap Auto while a video is playing and JRDrive looks at the actual frames, picks a profile that suits the content, and sets brightness, contrast, gamma and saturation for you. Dark films get lifted, washed-out video gets its colour back, and nothing is cropped or resized. Five profiles — Natural, Vivid, Cinema, Restore and Animation — and you can still adjust everything by hand, or use Reset Picture to undo. It's marked Experimental because results vary with the video and the device. Works on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Vision Pro. • Video on Mac plays smoothly. Long files no longer stutter partway through. • Videos opened from Recents, Favorites and Offline now play full screen • The picture adjustments panel stays open while you use it, instead of disappearing after a few seconds. • Sync and Library are visible to everyone now, so you can see what they do before deciding to subscribe. If you're in your trial, thumbnails work properly instead of asking you to upgrade. • Sync All button on the sync jobs screen. • Two-way sync: paused jobs stay paused, deletions and conflicts behave correctly, and a failed connection no longer leaves a job stuck. • Thumbnails stop retrying files they can't read, so browsing stays quick. • Mac: the menu bar item now actually appears while JRDrive is running. • A-B loop could get stuck with Clear out of reach — fixed.

1.1.16 — Your TV shows, organised • TV shows are grouped properly now. JRDrive reads your folders, so Show / Season 2 / Episode is recognised as one show with its seasons — instead of scattering episodes into "Videos" or treating each season as its own show. Tap a show for its seasons, a season for its episodes. • Films are recognised properly. JRDrive reads your folders, so a movie without a year in its filename — or with the year only on the folder — is no longer dumped into "Videos". Multi-part rips (CD1/CD2) collapse into one entry. • Posters with no setup. Shows and albums fetch artwork automatically, no account or key needed. Films still need a free TMDB key, and the app now says so. • Show and film pages are real pages: large artwork, Play, a shortcut to the file's folder, and the full description. Videos from Media play full screen instead of in a small window. • Important fix for encrypted remotes: renaming one could lose its PIN and leave it unprotected. The PIN now follows the rename, or the rename is refused. • Mac: JRDrive sits in the menu bar while it's running, with sync status, Sync Now and Pause All. Video full screen hides the title bar instead of taking over the whole screen. • Find network storage from the Remotes screen — SMB, NFS, WebDAV, SFTP and FTP servers are discovered and filled in for you. On iPhone and iPad this never worked before. • Choosing which folders to scan is far easier to reach, folders can be removed on Mac, and adding or removing one rescans right away. • Fixed: a folder listing that failed looked like an empty folder. It reports the error now. • Tap a cast member or keyword on a film or show to see what else in your library shares it. • Two-way sync is now labelled Experimental. It resolves conflicts and propagates deletions automatically — try it on a folder you can afford to lose first. • Fixed: renaming a remote broke any encrypted or combined remote built on top of it. Those now follow the rename, along with your media folders. • Duplicate a remote from its context menu — settings and PIN carry over.

1.1.14 — Free up space, and transfers that finish • Large transfers no longer stall when the screen turns off. JRDrive now keeps the device awake while a transfer or sync is running, so multi-gigabyte files complete instead of freezing part-way. • Camera Upload can now offload: copy photos and videos to your remote, then review and remove the local copies to reclaim space. Anything shot on this device is never offered for removal, and nothing is deleted until its copy on the remote is confirmed. • Filter what gets uploaded by age and by where the media came from — useful for archiving older material, or clearing out media received from other apps. • Audio now resumes where you left off, with its own setting separate from video. • Hide remotes you rarely use from the Remotes list, with a setting to show them again. • New sync options: transfer only files older than a threshold, choose whether offloaded originals go to trash or are deleted, and clean up trash left behind by deleted sync jobs. • Find and remove duplicate files in any folder, and sort Recents by most accessed. • Apple TV now offers far more storage providers — over 50, up from 15 — including Koofr, Proton Drive, Seafile, ulož.to and many more. Providers that need a browser sign-in still arrive automatically from your iPhone when iCloud sync is on. • Added Huawei Drive. • Fixes: encrypted remotes no longer leak filenames to the Files app while locked; travel PIN now unlocks correctly; folder search finds partial matches again; several data-safety fixes in sync verification and trash handling.

1.1.12 — Smarter search, real download control • Redesigned search: results appear instantly as you type, your current folder is preselected, and deeper matches stream in live. Folders you search are indexed automatically so the next search is even faster. • Tap a search result to open it right away — closing it brings you back to your results. • Downloads can now be cancelled mid-transfer, and the progress view shows where to change the download location. • Save files for offline directly from a file's long-press menu or the ⋯ menu in the viewer. • With iCloud sync on, your remotes now arrive on your other devices — including Apple TV — with credentials intact (secured by iCloud Keychain, end-to-end encrypted). • Fixed a crash when picking a remote while setting up a sync job on Mac. • Additional stability and polish.

1.1.11 — Every rclone backend, now in JRDrive • Added support for ~46 more storage backends, so JRDrive now covers essentially every backend rclone supports. New additions include Koofr, Proton Drive, iCloud Drive, Jottacloud, Yandex Disk, Mail.ru, Google Photos, Seafile, OpenDrive, Oracle Object Storage, Azure Files, put.io, PikPak, SugarSync, Zoho, HiDrive, ShareFile, Internet Archive, 1fichier, Gofile, Pixeldrain, Uloz.to, an HTTP backend, and the union / combine / compress overlays — among others. • Each new backend gets a setup form generated directly from rclone, with the right fields, helpful examples, and password masking. • Fixed setup forms that could appear empty for some backends. • More reliable file operations for local folders across Mac and the Files app. • Additional stability and polish.

1.1.10 — Smoother video on Mac + reliability fixes • Hardware-accelerated video on Mac. Video now decodes on the GPU and plays smoothly, fixing reports of a black screen (with audio) on some clips — especially HEVC. Falls back to software decoding automatically if a clip needs it. • No more crash on launch with an encrypted rclone.conf. If your configuration is protected with a password, JRDrive now unlocks it on import instead of failing to start. • Fixed a launch crash that could happen when two remotes had the same name. • Mac playback fixes: no hang after a video finishes, arrow-key navigation keeps working after you close a player, and seeking no longer stalls. • "Synchronization paused" in the Files app now recovers on its own after you unlock an encrypted remote or start a trial / subscribe. • Saving a file now shows download speed alongside progress, and the file list refreshes right after a copy. • Additional stability and security hardening.

1.1.9 — Faster saving + encrypted remotes are easier to find • Save to Files in fewer taps. Pick a destination folder once and JRDrive remembers it — after that, saving a file from a remote is a single tap. You can change the folder or switch back to "always ask" any time in Settings → Storage. • Download progress when saving. Saving a file from the browse view now shows live download progress and lands the file in your chosen, visible folder (instead of quietly tucking it away inside the app). • Encrypted (crypt) remotes are now visible to everyone. Previously the Encrypted remote type was hidden unless you had Premium, so it looked like the feature didn't exist. It now appears in the Add Remote list with a lock badge, and tapping it shows the upgrade option. Encrypted remotes remain a Premium feature. • Various stability and polish fixes.

1.1.7 — Files app integration restored • Fixed the major bug where JRDrive didn't appear in the iOS Files app sidebar (no toggle in Edit Sidebar, no entries under Browse). JRDrive now shows up correctly in Files on iPhone and iPad — go to Files → Browse → Edit Sidebar to enable it the first time. • Same fix restores Files-app integration on iOS 18 too.

1.1.6 — Crypt + remote-switch reliability • Fixed a bug where switching between remotes while inside a subfolder could show the wrong remote's folder listing (and require a force-close to recover). The Files tab now always reflects the remote you just tapped. • Fixed first-access errors on encrypted remotes ("error in ListJSON: directory not found"). The app now warms the underlying remote's connection before listing through a crypt layer, eliminating the need to open the underlying remote first as a workaround. • Fixed encrypted remotes opening to the wrong path on first launch (showing the underlying remote's root instead of the configured encrypted folder). Remotes are now registered in dependency order at startup, and crypt wrappers re-check their base before each listing. • New cloud backends: Backblaze B2, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and Storj (all via S3-compatible endpoints with sensible defaults pre-filled). • Video player: new "pin" button keeps the playback controls overlay visible until you tap it off — useful for one-handed scrubbing. • Downloads: in-progress download notifications now have a Cancel action. • Larger on-disk thumbnail cache (200 MB, up from 100) so browsing big folders on slow remotes doesn't re-fetch the same thumbnails. • Hardened the rclone config write path with explicit fsync so a power-loss between save and disk flush can no longer roll back a freshly-added OAuth token or password. • File-Provider uploads now run through a path-traversal sanitiser as defense-in-depth. 1.1.5 — iOS 18 crash fix + diagnostics • Fixed a SIGABRT on iOS 18 when switching from the Files tab back to the Remotes tab and tapping a different remote. Root cause was a SwiftUI view-identity swap that raced UITabBarController's transition; the Files-tab view now resets in-place instead of being recreated, eliminating the layout assert that brought the app down. • Fixed a related glitch where toggling between list and grid views on the Remotes screen could occasionally activate the wrong remote. Same fix. • Feedback: bug reports now include your iOS version, device model, and JRDrive build right in the message body, so reports are easier to diagnose without needing a follow-up exchange. • File Provider: hardened the iOS Files-app integration's Info.plist with a guard preventing accidental re-declaration of a legacy capability key that would crash the extension on launch. • Internals: centralised the "open this remote in Files tab" flow so every entry point (Remotes list, Recents, Favorites, Search, Sync, deep links, video PiP restore) goes through one safe, deferred-dispatch path.
