You can now use the app with your iPad held upright. Your handwriting stays the same in portrait and landscape. What's new • Portrait support on iPad: Month, Week, Day, Journal, Year and Memo all work in portrait, showing the same handwriting as landscape • In portrait Month view, the monthly sidebar can be placed anywhere, can sit partly off the edge, and its border can be shown or hidden • Appearance in Settings is now organized into four tabs: Color, Font, Time Gutter and Sidebar • Weekday and month labels can each be set to English, Japanese, Korean or German • The time gutter background can be Blurred or Clear • In Day view, changing the date slides the page sideways while keeping the previous day's handwriting in view • Initial setup now fits on one screen, with a sample planner to preview labels and font weight • You're notified right away when you add an event to a calendar set to be hidden • Calendar sync settings now include guidance on signing in again • When you write on the same page on more than one iPad, both sets of handwriting are kept • Fixed occasional 2–3 second freezes while writing and made the pen more responsive • Handwriting hidden by an iCloud storage folder issue is now shown again automatically • Fixed Month view jumping back four months when tapping a disabled Undo or Redo • Added a button at the top right of the screen for bug reports and feedback Much of the portrait layout is new, so there may be bugs we haven't caught. This update focuses on one specific moment in Month View: when the month changes as you scroll. ■ The month-change stutter is gone The previous update made Month View lighter overall, but one instant still stuttered — the moment the month changes while scrolling. We rebuilt that step, and on our development devices dropped frames fell to about one eighth or less.
