Minor GUI enhancements.

Run Service (iPad, Maestro) A new full-screen view for running a service from the bench. Tap Run Service on any service to get the song list, what's playing, verse count with large plus and minus buttons, up next, and Play/Pause/Stop, with nothing else on the screen. Set the verse count before a hymn starts or change it while it plays. Transpose stays with the song Transpose now works like tempo. Pin it to a recording and it comes back every time; everything else loads at 0, so one hymn's key never carries into the next. On built hymns the pinned key follows through the intro, verses and ending. Larger Text and High Contrast (iPad) Two new switches in Settings → Playback → Display for easier reading at the console. The verse counter on the Player is larger and brighter either way. Gentle Stop The Player now shows Stopping while held notes ring out, and pressing Stop right after Pause lets the chord ring instead of cutting it off. Also: Service pages now offer Run Service or Open in Player, so it's clear which view you're getting. Pinned tempo and transpose are shown on the Now Playing card.

What's New in 1.25.0 • Faster everywhere on large libraries. The Library, folders, and the Hymn Builder's recording picker now stay responsive with thousands of recordings loaded. • Crescendo Mode no longer turns off every stop when a profile contains a stop that was captured incorrectly. The app skips that stop and sets the rest of the registration as expected. • Learn Stops on now ignores keys and pedals pressed while it is listening for a stop, so a stray touch can't be saved as a stop. • Smaller fixes and refinements.

SERVICE BUILDER (introduced in 1.21) Build a whole service once, then reuse it every week. - Service Templates: save any service as a template, then start new services from it - Ten starter layouts included: Sunday Mass, Mass for Advent and Lent, Lutheran Divine Service, Holy Eucharist, Evensong, Lessons and Carols, Traditional Service, Evangelical Service, Wedding, and Funeral - Empty slots hold a place for each part of the service until you choose the music - Duplicate Service copies last week's service in one tap - Faster Add Recordings: the search keyboard opens automatically, and sectioned hymns get a verse plan as soon as they fill a slot - Shared services now carry verse plans, slots, and templates - General Cancel: press and hold to clear every stop, coupler, and crescendo on the console NEW IN TUNING MODE Tune an entire organ by yourself, hands free. WatsonMIDI keys each pipe over MIDI, watches the strobe, and moves to the next one once the pipe in front of you is in tune. Finish a rank, step to the next stop, and keep going. - Auto step now follows your walk direction and step interval, ascending or descending - Hold keeps a pipe speaking as long as you need and pauses Auto step until you release it - Interval solo: while checking octaves, silence the low or high pipe with one tap without leaving interval mode - Wrist mode adds step up and step down buttons and an Auto toggle, sized for a phone strapped to your arm in the chamber - Pin a stop in wrist mode to keep it drawn while you step to another, for comparing ranks across divisions - Rebuilt stop picker with live search, a Ranks Only filter, division shortcuts, and Active and Recent lists - Stops in every division now sound from the tuning keyboard, not just the first one drawn - C1 through C9 labels restored on the iPhone keyboard Thank you to the organists and technicians whose field reports shaped this release.

Service Templates (Symphony and above) Start a new service from one of ten built-in layouts: Sunday Mass, Mass for Advent and Lent, Lutheran Divine Service, Holy Eucharist, Evensong, Lessons and Carols, Traditional, Evangelical, Wedding, and Funeral. Fill in the parts that never change, save it as your own template, and each week is set the date and choose your hymns. Empty slots hold each part until you pick a recording, and a hymn recorded in parts builds its verse plan automatically. Share a finished template with another church and they fill in their own hymns. Duplicate Service Copy any past service to next week in two taps. Available in every tier. General Cancel (Maestro) Press and hold to clear every stop, coupler and tremulant on the console after a piece, on any profiled organ. Stop now also clears the console on Allen, Syndyne and Matters organs when the recording carried registration. Also in this release The search keyboard is ready the moment Add Recordings opens.

Held notes on Bluetooth-connected digital organs Fixed an issue where a note held from the app could release on its own after a few seconds on Bluetooth-connected digital organs. This affected tuning and any passage with a long sustained chord. Notes now hold as long as you hold them.

Hymn Builder Build a complete hymn performance from your recordings. Plan your verses, set the order, and WatsonMIDI plays the assembled hymn straight through on your organ. Record an introduction, verses, and ending once, then reuse them across services. Re-Record in Place Replace any recording without losing its place in your library. Arm a recording from the Player or from the Library row menu, record your new take, and choose Replace or Discard when you stop. Title, folder, and service placements all stay put. Available on iPhone and iPad. Also in this release: refinements and fixes throughout recording, playback, and library management. Questions or feedback: support@watsonpipeorgan.com

New in this release: Keyboard Mode plays recordings from any WatsonMIDI profiled pipe organ on your digital piano or keyboard, with stop changes filtered and the pedal line placed correctly. Also includes wrist-tuning display enhancements, improved pitch detection on soft stops, more accurate Library sorting, and general fixes.

Add a Layer - Build a performance one part at a time. Play along with any recording in your library and WatsonMIDI combines what you play with the original into a new recording - the original is never changed. Add a pedal line, a descant, or a countermelody. Choose a slower practice speed while you record your part; the finished recording plays at full tempo. A count-in gets you started on the beat. On consoles with moving stop controls, draw the stops for your part before you begin - your registration is preserved when playback starts. Also in this version: New sharing options: choose your format when sharing recordings, and WatsonMIDI bundles now include organ profiles so recordings arrive ready to play Smaller shared files Improved responsiveness throughout the app A cleaner iPad layout - features appear when you're using them Cleaner audio preview in Listening Mode on certain instruments Connection improvements when multiple Apple devices are nearby

TRANSLATION ENGINE IMPROVEMENTS Recordings translated between organs now sound more musical than ever. Stop matching has been substantially refined: chimes, celestes, tremulants, and percussion now only ever match their own kind, and pitch footages are matched strictly, so a translated registration lands the way an organist would draw it. Editing a translation map mid-session now cleanly resets the console before the new map takes over. SAVE A TEMPO FOR EVERY RECORDING Found the perfect tempo for a piece? Tap the pin next to the tempo slider and that recording plays at your tempo every time, on every visit. GENTLE STOP A new option in Settings: with Gentle Stop on, pressing Stop mid-piece lets the sounding notes ring out for a moment instead of cutting off sharply. Press Stop a second time for instant silence. SMOOTHER SERVICES AND PLAYLISTS - While music plays, tapping another playlist item queues it to begin the moment the current piece finishes. Tap it again to change your mind. - Pressing Stop clears anything still queued, so nothing unexpected plays later. - During playback, the player keeps your playlist and what's next together at the top of the screen. REBUILT MIDI MONITOR The monitor now captures all MIDI traffic in both directions from launch, tags every message, marks each piece in the log, and can email a complete diagnostic report to Watson support with one tap. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE - Improved support for larger Peterson ICS consoles: Stop now cancels every stop, and stop-change framing is preserved exactly in recording and playback. - Seek anywhere with the playback scrubber; stops, expression, and held notes restore at the new position. - Many smaller refinements and fixes.

TIME-LIMITED SHARING (Symphony tier) Share a recording or playlist with an expiration date, from 3 months to a year, or any custom date you choose. Perfect for licensing your recordings to a church for a season rather than forever. Renewing is as simple as sharing again with a new date. SAVE YOUR TEMPO Every recording can now remember its own playback tempo. Adjust the tempo slider until a piece feels right, then tap the pin to save it. That recording will play at your saved tempo from then on, every time, until you change or clear it. CRESCENDO SHOE (Maestro tier) Control volume during playback with a true crescendo shoe. Author up to three named crescendo ladders on a profiled organ, each position holding a complete stop registration, then drag the shoe to swell or soften the sound in real time. SMARTER SEEKING Dragging the scrubber to a new position in a recording is faster and more reliable. The app now verifies and restores the correct stop registration before resuming playback, so seeking forward or backward always sounds right. IMPROVED TRIM Skip to First Note has been refined to collapse dead space between registration changes, not just before the first note. If you like to take your time pulling stops before playing, your recordings now start crisply without losing any of that registration. FIXES Playback no longer resets your organ's registration when a recording contains no stop changes. Recordings on unmapped MIDI channels now play correctly in Listening Mode

What's New in WatsonMIDI 1.15.5 Drag and drop to reorder a service. Press, hold, and move any recording into place, and the new order saves on its own. More reliable importing. Bringing in a large batch of MIDI files no longer stalls or quits when one file is damaged or incomplete. Problem files are set aside so the rest come in cleanly. Import summary. After an import you get a clear recap of what was added and what was skipped, with the reason for each skipped file, plus Copy and Share to save or send the list. Accurate recording source. Imported recordings now keep their own organ source instead of picking up whichever profile happens to be active.

Connection Setup Wizard Guided setup walks you through connecting your organ step by step. Choose wireless or wired, with illustrations and a built-in connection test. Background MIDI Playback MIDI playback continues when you switch apps or lock your screen. The organ keeps playing while you use other apps on the iPad. Improved Service Sharing Services now share via email reliably. Import services directly from the Services tab on both iPad and iPhone. Console Power Module (Maestro) Control your organ's blower and rectifier from WatsonMIDI via Wi-Fi relay. Auto-discovery, hardware auto-off timer, and MIDI activity detection. Apple Watch Remote (Maestro) Control playback from your wrist. Play, pause, stop, and navigate your service playlist. Record Naturally Stop registrations are captured automatically when you press Record, so playback starts with the correct stops engaged.

What's New in v1.11.0 Translation Engine - Cross-System Playback (Maestro) Play recordings from one organ on a completely different organ, even across different MIDI control systems. WatsonMIDI automatically maps stops, remaps keyboard channels, and converts between incompatible MIDI formats in real time. Expanded Organ Profiling (Maestro) Profile digital organs that use SysEx state dump stop control. The profiler now detects and captures both standard and extended SysEx header formats. Save Recording Improvements (All Tiers) Custom folders now appear in the save dialog - save directly to your own folders without extra steps Set a default folder so new recordings automatically save where you want them Playback Improvements (All Tiers) All stops now reset properly when playback ends on SysEx-based instruments Improved stability during translated playback

What's New in 1.0.3 • Trim Leading Silence - Recordings now start right when the music begins. Enable per-recording or set as default for all new recordings in Settings. • Improved Playback Reliability - Fixed an issue where certain instruments could cause notes to temporarily loop during playback. Playback now stops cleanly every time. • Broader Instrument Support - Better handling of instrument-specific MIDI messages for smoother recording and playback across a wider range of pipe organs and digital organs. A sincere thank you to everyone who has downloaded WatsonMIDI. Your feedback is directly shaping this app - every feature request, every bug report, every kind word matters. We're building this for you. Thank you to our early adopters for your feedback and support - it's shaping every update. If you're enjoying WatsonMIDI, a review on the App Store helps other organists find us. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Separate MIDI Routing: Use different devices for input and output — perfect for virtual organ setups with GrandOrgue or Hauptwerk. Set your MIDI instrument as the input for recording and a virtual MIDI bus as the output for playback. Works with keyboards, digital organs, and pipe organ consoles with MIDI. Enable it in Settings under MIDI Connection. Mac Catalyst Playback Fix: Resolved an issue where MIDI playback could fail to send note events when running WatsonMIDI on Mac. Playback now works reliably for both direct instrument connections and virtual instrument routing. Improved Labels: Clearer descriptions throughout the app — Record Audio and Listening Mode toggles now use more intuitive language that better describes what each feature does.

Bug Fixes: - Fixed an issue where exporting recordings could cause them to become unplayable - Corrupted recordings from v1.0 are now automatically recovered on playback - Improved iPad portrait mode layout - Backup files now use readable names instead of random identifiers
