Practice streak: a flame in the Library shows how many days in a row you've practised. Open a line in Study or Train at least every 2 days to keep it going. Tap the flame to see your current, previous and longest streak. Your streak is shared between your iPhone and iPad. Catalog updates: updating a downloaded study never offers to overwrite a study you created yourself, and the new version is imported before the old one is removed. Fixes: after signing out, your trainer is ready again right away, without restarting the app. PGN import: files from ChessBase and other Windows programs (with accented names such as Réti or Müller) now import correctly.

hat's new in 1.0.9 • Faster: large studies import much faster and open almost instantly after the first time. • Fairer energy: energy points are only used when an action succeeds. A failed import, merge or review no longer costs anything. • Clearer merging: merging two studies now tells you when the moves have nowhere to attach (and changes nothing), and confirms when the merge is done. • Better matching for studies that start from a set-up position. • News and offers: occasional announcements and promotions appear in the app. • New "Rate" row, if you'd like to rate the app. • Bug fixes and stability improvements.

What's new in 1.0.8 • Clearer Analysis: instead of a single "Save", the button now says exactly what it will do — "Add 3 new moves (up to 4. Bxc4)" or "Save 2 edited notes". New moves are underlined; moves after the current one are shown but not added. • Edited comments now replace the old ones instead of being appended. Saving notes alone no longer uses energy. • You're asked before leaving Analysis with unsaved moves or notes. • Name your study when importing a PGN. • PGNs that start from a set-up position (FEN) now import correctly. • Clearer error messages when a PGN can't be read, e.g. "Invalid move “Kz9” after 3. Bb5." • "Resume" in the library now continues where you left off. • When setting up on a new device, the library shows its iCloud restore progress. • Separate Line shows progress while it works and is offered right after your opponent's move. • Fixed a crash when opening certain studies, plus other fixes and improvements.

Study mode now supports "auto move opponent" and "hints off challenge" options. Search now understands "game begins with moves" ask.

Bug fixes and Performance improvements. Also, a bigger library of starter repertoires

High performance for largest of the studies.

Performance Improvement in Training and Study

We've improved the search experience and overall app performance, along with minor bug fixes.

Great news! The "Review Game" feature is now completely FREE. You can analyze your played games and compare them against your repertoire without spending any energy points. In fact, you can use the app's core features to study and train for free forever, as long as your custom studies stay under the large-study move limit! This update also includes bug fixes and a smoother, more reliable Game Review experience.
