V2 Architecture Overhaul The app has been rebuilt around a new offline-first architecture with local SQLite storage. Games, teams, and leagues are now cached locally, enabling faster load times and offline viewing. The backend now separates data from layout templates, allowing the app to cache UI layouts and only fetch fresh game data. Key improvements: • Local SQLite database with background sync • Hash-based layout caching (only re-download templates when they change) • ETag support for conditional requests (304 Not Modified) • New V2 API endpoints for game sections (today/previous/upcoming) Live Game Experience Real-time updates work properly now: • Games in intermission (BREAK status) display correctly as live with red border • Period-by-period scores (quarter scores, period scores) display from local cache • Game clocks now count down instead of up for hockey, basketball, and American football • Standard period lengths: Hockey 20min, NBA 12min, NFL 15min, NCAA Basketball 20min halves NCAA Basketball translation: • API returns Q1/Q2 but college basketball uses halves • Now correctly displays "1H" and "2H" instead of "Q1" and "Q2" • Countdown timer uses 20-minute halves Push Notifications Fixed A regression broke push notifications - events were detected but notifications weren't sent because database IDs weren't being passed through. This is now fixed and notifications work again for score changes, game starts, and period changes.
