Monitor servers and websites - and just about any other network-connected device - with Server Ranger 3. Get automatic alerts via email and SMS when things go wrong.
ANY DEVICE - NOT JUST PING
Monitor the performance and uptime for any device, server or website. Server Ranger 3 can use Ping for basic monitoring or more advanced testing for websites and email servers. It can even check a website for a string in the source code to verify availability.
SMART INTERFACE
Nodes performing properly are in green. Yellow indicates the node is online but slow. Red is for offline. A summary along the bottom shows you everything at a glance.
ALERT POLICIES
Server Ranger 3 allows you to decide exactly what policy each server should get. Use a default Alert Policy such as Critical, Normal or Unimportant on any server. Or give each server its own custom policy.
Here's an example policy for a website. "Send me a notification and an email when my website goes offline for 10 minutes, and only send one alert."
Here's a more advanced policy for your company's database server. "If the server's latency is greater than 1000ms for 10 minutes, or if it's offline for 5 minutes, send an email alert to me and send both an email and an SMS(*) alert to my IT sysadmin. Repeat the alert a maximum of 3 times."
Alerts can include emails with multiple recipients, SMS text messages to anywhere in the world with multiple recipients, on-screen alerts, notifications, sounds and dock icon badge.
Is a server not important? Just switch its alerts off. Server Ranger 3 can continue to monitor the server, logging its performance and uptime.
LOGS
Server Ranger logs every response from your devices. Use the search field to look for error codes or to filter by server. Spot patterns of poor performance and print or export the evidence to a CSV file.
BIG SCREEN VIEW
Server Ranger 3 has a second window, ideal for a full-screen view, or a large wall-mounted screen.
