Much less internet data. On board, your phone talks to the boat over the boat Wi-Fi only. Away from the boat, the app checks in less often in the background. Anchor watch ashore: once your GOAT device confirms it is watching the same anchor, your phone checks the boat every 30 seconds instead of every 2, and goes straight back to every 2 seconds near the edge or if anything looks wrong. Settings > Data usage now shows everything your GOAT device uses, says when you are on the boat Wi-Fi, and has a data saver for the nearby ships view. Victron data is read on the boat network when it can be. If your Victron system asks for a password for local connections, the app now tells you so. Fixed: the Electrical tab no longer asks you to set up Victron when you are away from the boat and your data is already coming in. Fixed: the anchor screen no longer checks nearby ships in the background after the watch is raised.

• Anchorages you add yourself: SV.GOAT now asks after a real anchored stay, and you can add a spot any time — while you're there, or later from your recorded anchor stays. • You can report an anchorage that's wrong, and fix or remove one you added yourself. A spot counts as confirmed only by sailors whose boats actually anchored there. • "Your visits" now counts real visits to an anchorage instead of a made-up number. • New "Data usage" screen under Settings › About & legal: see what SV.GOAT uses on your phone, split into mobile data and Wi-Fi, and what your GOAT device sends and receives — so you can fit both into your data plans. • The Anchor Guard screen was rebuilt around the map. The bottom panel is smaller, panels no longer cover the anchor circle or the side buttons, and a new Move anchor mode lets you nudge the anchor while you can see it. • Your GOAT device can now tell your phone it is watching the anchor. When it can prove it — armed, on the same anchor, with a fresh position — a lost connection shows a quiet notice instead of the siren. If anything at all is uncertain, the alarm still sounds. • Fixed a false "DRAGGING" alert that could stay on screen after a brief loss of signal, on a boat that never moved. • Raising the anchor now always asks first. Two buttons used to do it with no confirmation, and they appeared exactly when the boat was in trouble. • SV.GOAT now checks it is talking to your own GOAT device before it uses it, so on a shared marina network, or near another boat's GOAT device, it can never pick up the wrong boat by mistake. • Polar data collection stops when you are not sailing, instead of leaving a notification up at anchor claiming to record. • Cards that show two things — Position, Wind Speed, Depth, Air Temperature and Wind Angle — are now laid out in two tidy, centred halves instead of being pushed to the edges. • Switching to a boat without a GOAT device is now much faster: about a second instead of several.
