The biggest update since launch. Introducing Sous Chef: help while you are actually cooking, not before. Batter came out thin, no rice vinegar in the house, no idea whether the chicken is done. Ask, and get an answer that fits the recipe you are standing in front of rather than a generic one. One question a day is free. Premium removes the limit. Timers without leaving the recipe. Ask Sous Chef for one out loud or in text — "ten minutes for the chicken" — and it starts. Ask for two and you get two. Any step that names a time now has a timer on it, one tap. They float over whatever you are doing, tuck into the bottom bar when you are back at home, and still go off if you have set the phone down or closed the app. Talk instead of typing. Tap the mic and say it, which helps when your hands are covered in flour. Sous Chef can read answers back too, if you would rather listen than squint at a screen across the kitchen. The screen stays awake while you cook. No more poking a floury phone to find your place again. Two new themes for Premium. Sumac, dark with a warm brick red. Oat, a quiet neutral that lets the food be the loudest thing on screen. Got a code? You can now redeem it in Settings. Also fixed: long imported recipes were being cut off partway through. Imported recipes were all filed under Dinner no matter what they actually were. And categories you changed by hand could quietly revert the next time things synced.

Home Screen Widgets - Add Kitchen Sink to your home screen with large or small widgets for quick access to Kitchen Sink. Shop with Instacart — One-tap grocery ordering right from your recipe. Only orders what you actually need — pantry items are automatically excluded. (Premium) Social Import Upgrade — Sharing a recipe from Instagram or TikTok now prompts to upgrade if you're on the free plan. Improved Stability — Fixed a storage issue that could cause "Storage unavailable" on some devices. Device ID now persists reliably across app updates. UI Polish — Recipe notes no longer get cut off, and search empty states have been improved.

- Recipe Folders: Your saved recipes are now automatically organized by category (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, Dessert, Drink). Tap the folder icon on any recipe to move it. - Add Saved Recipes to Meal Plan: Tap any empty day on your weekly calendar to assign a recipe from your collection. Long-press to replace or remove. You can also add from the recipe card menu and select multiple days at once. - Two New Premium Themes: Truffle (dark) and Ube (purple) join the theme collection for premium subscribers. - Security and bug fixes

You can toggle this on or off from Settings, and tap "Refresh Nutrition" on existing recipes. - Personal Notes Save your notes on any recipe — jot down tweaks, substitutions, or tips for next time (more on this in a future update!) -Notifications Now sending helpful push notifications to keep you on track. Get reminders when pantry items are past their prime, encouragement to keep your cooking streak going, and gentle nudges when your pantry is waiting for inspiration.
