This update fixes an issue that could make Pew Pal freeze while opening on some iPhones and iPads running iOS 27 or iPadOS 27. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

Pew Pal now speaks Italian: • Italian joins English, Portuguese, Spanish and French as the app’s fifth language: the whole app, every prayer and the Mass texts, beside the Latin or on their own • The Traditional Latin Mass in Italian: the Propers of every day of the year, with the Scripture in Antonio Martini’s translation of the Vulgate, and the orations, Sequences and Holy Week rites translated from the Latin • The Little Office of Our Lady, read aloud in Italian too • Choose Italiano in Settings, under Language • Small corrections to the Traditional Latin Mass texts, in every language The Marian prayers and the Rosary stay free forever. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

Reading options, one tap away: • An “aA” button at the top right of every reading screen sets the text size and the language mode. It replaces the bar under each title, so the text has more room • Text Size: tap the small or the large A to make the text smaller or larger, with the menu still open • Latin on the left: side by side now comes in both orders, English first or Latin first • Settings: Language Mode is now the same setting as the aA menu • The Traditional Mass header’s buttons now line up with its title, as on the Holy Mass The Marian prayers and the Rosary stay free forever. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

A new tab bar: • Pew Pal now uses Apple’s own tab bar, with the Liquid Glass look on iOS 26 and later • On iPad, the tabs now sit at the top of the screen, as in Apple’s apps The Marian prayers and the Rosary stay free forever. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

The Little Office of Our Lady, read aloud: • Every hour of the Little Office, from Matins to Compline, for every day of the year, following the liturgical seasons • Read aloud in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, with the words following the voice line by line • It keeps playing with the screen locked; change the speed or skip to the next part • Find it in Devotions → Breviary • A clearer subscription screen The Marian prayers and the Rosary stay free forever. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

Checked line by line at a sung Traditional Latin Mass: • Every “Dominus vobiscum”: the priest’s greeting and the people’s answer before the Collect, the Gospel, the Offertory, the Postcommunion and the dismissal, with “Oremus” where the Missal has it • The people’s answers to the readings: “Deo gratias”, “Gloria tibi, Domine” and “Laus tibi, Christe” • The prayers at the foot of the altar and the “Ecce Agnus Dei”, complete • On Ember days, “Flectamus genua” before the first Collect, as in the Missal • The Secret’s sung ending now appears once, not twice The Marian prayers and the Rosary stay free forever. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

Minor improvements.

Pew Pal now speaks French! • French joins English, Portuguese and Spanish as the app’s fourth language: the menus, the Holy Mass, the Rosary, the Stations of the Cross, Confession and the Liturgy of the Hours • Traditional Latin Mass: the Epistle, Gospel and chants of the Propers of the Day in French (Glaire’s translation from the Vulgate), with the orations, the Sequences and the Holy Week ceremonies • Holy Mass: a Eucharistic Prayer chosen under “Which prayer is the priest using?” now opens at its first line, and the Various Needs I–IV chooser closes and brings the intercessions to the top • Read French, Latin, or both side by side — change the language anytime in Settings The Marian prayers and the Rosary stay free forever. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

Fixes found by following a sung Mass in the pew. TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS • The Asperges is complete: the Gloria Patri, the repeated antiphon and the priest’s versicles after ‘Ostende nobis’ • The people’s answers at a sung Mass: ‘Sed libera nos a malo’, and ‘Per omnia saecula saeculorum — Amen’ before ‘Pax Domini’ and before ‘Sursum corda’ • Sunday Gospels now open with the Missal’s own words, not the Bible’s • The versicle of the Gradual and other chants now has its own translation • The sign of the cross now appears in the Gospel headings HOLY MASS • Eucharistic Prayers for Various Needs I–IV: choose the one the priest is praying right where they part, at the intercessions, without losing your place • Corrected intercessions for Various Needs II–IV Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

The Marian prayers and the Rosary are now free forever. FREE FOREVER The Marian tab — the seasonal antiphons, the Litany of Loreto, the Fatima prayers, the Consecrations and the complete Holy Rosary — no longer needs a subscription, and neither does Settings. Keep Pew Pal for the Rosary; the subscription unlocks the Holy Mass, the Traditional Latin Mass and the Devotions. A GENTLER PAYWALL • ‘Maybe later’ on the subscription screen takes you straight to the Marian prayers • The other tabs show a small lock; tap one to see what the subscription unlocks • Every few days, after you close a prayer, Pew Pal may invite you to subscribe — never mid-prayer, and never twice in three days ALSO • Settings now links to Officium, our companion app for the Traditional Divine Office ALSO FIXED • Eucharistic Prayers II, IV, for Reconciliation and for Various Needs now begin at the words heard after the Sanctus, exactly where the prayer picker points Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

The Traditional Latin Mass, with the Propers of every day. THE PROPERS OF THE DAY Open the app on any day of the year and the 1962 Mass is already set to that day — Introit, Collect, Epistle, Gradual, Gospel, Offertory, Secret, Communion and Postcommunion. Sundays, weekdays and the feasts of the saints, following the 1962 calendar and its own rules for which Mass is said when. THE ORDINARY, IN FULL • The whole Roman Canon, every prayer in its place • The Preface of the day, which the app did not show before • The dismissal, Last Gospel and final Blessing now follow the day’s own rubrics HOLY WEEK AND THE GREAT RITES The blessing of palms, ashes and candles, the Mandatum, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, printed as they are celebrated. PORTUGUESE AND SPANISH Scripture in the Propers now appears in Portuguese and Spanish as well as English, from translations made from the Latin Vulgate so they match the Latin beside them. Where a translation is not available the page shows the Latin. Every source is named in Settings › Content Sources. Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.

Confession, the Stations of the Cross, and a new Devotions tab. CONFESSION COMPANION Prayers before and after, the rite step by step with the lines you say marked clearly, and an examination of conscience that is never saved to your device. STATIONS OF THE CROSS All fourteen stations of St. Alphonsus Liguori, one per page, with the Stabat Mater. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE • A new Devotions tab gathers Confession, the Stations, Benediction and the Breviary in one place • The Rosary now flows straight through — opening prayers, each decade, and the closing prayers all in their place • Keep Screen Awake, so the display no longer dims mid-Mass Thank you for praying with Pew Pal.
