BACKGROUND LOCATION (UIBackgroundModes: location / Always permission): AYON Wind records GPS "downwind" kitesurfing sessions (point-to-point rides of 10-30 km along the coast). Riders carry the phone in a waterproof pouch with the screen locked. Background location keeps the ride recording and — critically — keeps the rider's live position flowing to their designated safety contact (a transfer driver following by car) via a time-limited share link. This is a safety feature: riders are alone at sea. - Location is requested only when the rider starts a session. - Tracking shows the iOS blue background-location indicator at all times. - Tracking stops automatically when the rider taps Finish, and a stale-task sweep stops it if the app is terminated mid-ride. - Declining "Always" gracefully falls back to foreground-only tracking. TO TEST THE CORE FLOW (no ocean required): 1. Sign in with the demo account below. 2. Map tab → "DW" button → pick a route or plan → complete the 5-item safety checklist → Launch GPS Tracking. 3. Tap "Share live" (bottom right) → choose 2h → copy the link → open it in Safari on any device: the live observer page needs no account. 4. Walk around; the observer page position follows. 5. Tap Finish → the cinematic ride replay plays with stats.
